Default Daily Thursday, August 15th

off for coffee, back shortly

I'm back, coffee in hand.

peachie, how is jiff doing?? Hope you have good news for us. Did you buy a baby craft book?

sarah (nora's niece) hope you take the time to join us in our daily, where anything goes.

I'm working the band practice this afternoon after school. It is going to be a hot one. We must keep reminding the band director to give the kids water breaks, he gets so into the music he forgets. Not a good thing to do in the south. A couple of weeks ago we had 8 kids under the parents tent sick from the heat.

I have big plans this morning..........I plan to clean my master bath, YIPPEE!! I really don't want to, but my friend wants to soak away her cares in my jacuzzi, and I'm ashamed to let anyone see my bathroom the way it looks now. Can you tell housework is not my cup of tea.

Hubby is leaving for a business trip to London on Saturday. This is one business trip I wish I could go with him on. I have been pen-pals with a girl in England since we were 12 years old. She came to visit me in 79 and I think it is now my turn to visit her, don't you think? Oh well, maybe next time.

Have a good day all
Debbie

Good Morning Deb, I could use a cup too, OK? Double cream and a pack of splenda, thanks a bunch!

Well, after yesterday's heady excitement it's going to be a rough couple of days now waiting for my appointment with my obgyn. I'm hoping then enough time has elapsed that I can get a good +++ result. We'll just have to wait and see, but I'm not too good at patience!

Today is do everything we should have done yesterday day since things were a bit wild and I didn't get anything done! Lots of housecleaning afoot for me!

Take good care and I'm thinking of you Jiff

Have a good one everyone!

Good morning chickies...... mmmmm, that coffee smells really good deb..... thanks!

Deb, if I promise not to look at the rest of the bathroom may I puhleeeeze reserve a place in the jacuzzi for tomorrow???? Make sure you drink enough today too... it isn't enough to just watch out for all the kids, you must watch out for Deb, too!!! I'm sorry you can't go to London to see your friend, but maybe you can go next time?

Sarah... it's nice to "meet" you. Come on and join us any time... we are really a nice bunch of nutz and chicks!

Pooky.. take it easy, relax -- all that housework will still be there whenever!! (can you tell that I am most definitely not "Mrs Clean"?!?! )

Everyone else to come..... have a great day.. will check in later!

Debkay, Samsgram, Pooky and I are on the way to check out that Jacuzzi. My sister had one in her old house and I just loved it. Did get a bit of a shock once when I turned on the spouts before there was water in the tub! Deb, I do know what it's like to want to Martha up before someone comes. I am sure you are NOT a rotten housekeeper.

Pooky, I'm crossing legs and fingers and earlobes and boobs that all will be well with you.

Samsgram, what's the work situation? Any resolution yet? Remember if you work too many hours you won't be able to companion that PWD you are destined to get one of these days.

Peachie, you had darn well better let us know how Jiff is doing or I will phone you and give you heck. A piece of beef jerky? That stuff can be dangerous.

Leenie, what can I say? Try not to go completely into orbit when the boss is away!

Gotta go and start a big pot of Soup au Pistou with my garden veggies. It's a lot like minestrone and is served with pesto to thicken it. Yummy!

By the way, the AC guy showed at 6:30 last night and fixed the AC! Minor parts replacement so no big expense this year anyhow. The system is over 20 years so soon it will be time, I guess. Anyhow, it's great to be able to sleep without a fan blasting away and a furry dog beside me to get the full benefit of the air.

Happy Thursday to all to come.

Another scorcher today. We hit 102 yesterday. The ac is working just fine. DH played golf in the heat I passed on my usual wed. night game.

Little man is still sore this am, but the ultrasound the chiropractor did seem to help an he liked it. Soo we will go back today. I think we will go do a little mall walking. I can't spend the whole day at home again.

Laundry, laundry , laundry on the list today. I need to get the cloths done to pack for our trip to NC on tues. I think it is cooler there, only in the 90's...lol

Have a good day chickies an pooky I will put on my cross your heart today to make sure something is crossed all day.

Peachy, hope jiff is better today and that you tell he how much she is missed.

be well,
-L

Ruth? You can cross your boobs? Perhaps we can all give it a try while we are sitting in Debkays bathroom, but Pooky? I don't think it is a good idea for you to be sitting in the Jacuzzi just yet.

I have not spoken to Jiff yet...they don't let the phones thru yet and I suspect that they have discovered that she was calling from her cell phone and probably have confiscated it since it tends to muck up the works of the medical equipment. BUT! I will let you know ASAP when I get in touch with her and hopefully I will be able to run over there sometime today!

Debkay, THINK OF THE AIRMILES THAT YOU WILL GET!!!!! of course if your dh is like my dh....which they seem to be cut from the same type of CHEAP cloth.....you'll have to do some type of gymnastics to GET them! Stay cool!

jenny, loved reading about your boys yesterday. REALLY wish you were closer, of I was closer!

SG....how them Mets doing? my buddy Mo?

hey to all who sneak in!

Been sleeping later these summer days. Used to be up at sparrowfart! oh well, I am sure that will change once school begings, but dh and I were just talking last night and said how much we are enjoying this summer with the boys!

later and I will post as I hear news of Jiff!

Good Morning Ladies
Today I'm going to do alittle yard work, then begin to reupholster my office chair. It's pretty easy. It's just a wooden chair and all I have to do is put new foam padding and fabric on the seat. Then I'm going to make a matching foam cushion. Tonight is our night to go out for dinner. Not sure where we're going yet.

Pooky~~~ I'm sending baby vibes your way.

Debkay~~~It looks like it might be cooler today. How's your dad doing?

SamsG~~~House cleaning is definately NOT my favorite thing to do either .

Annie~~~I have found that using the unsweetened cranberry concentrate from the health food store is very easy and economical in the long run. An 8oz bottle cost about $8, but it only takes 7 tsp to make 64oz of the cranwater. I also add alittle bit of Stevia to sweeten it so it's not too tart. You're right about some of the FF things helping any diet. I'm sure that i will keep the LLC,cranwater and flax seed oil dressing when i switch back over to low caring.
Actually, FF really is low carbing

Barb~~~How's ol' Alvin doing?

Jennifer~~~Did I miss it? How did it go at the cardiologist the other day?

Ruth~~~The soup sounds yummy. Is it in the recipe section? A/C finally

Peach~~~Keep us in touch.

L~~~ I hope little man is feeling better today.

All to come~~~ Have a great day and I'll check in on you all later ;wave:

Jihan~~~Do we have to send Jiff over there to give you a kick in the buttocks? And I don't think that she's in a very pleasant mood right now.

So, if you'll behave andtry to stay OP today, so will I.

I don't know if Jiff's blockage was the same kind of blockage I've been experiencing the last couple of days but it sure ain't fun. I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing differently that would cause such constipation and can't think of a thing. I'm generally as regular as clockwork. Anyhow, I hope she's doing much better now.

I was surprised to see AddoAnnie and Sil on the Fat Flush Plan forum. This is something I'm gearing myself up to try. I've read the book and other than having to give up salt, I think I could probably do this plan. It is definitely low carb but with the addition of cranberry juice (very diluted) and some stuff from the health food store. I'm wondering if the Psyllium (sp?) would help me with my irregularity problems. Anyhow, if after my weigh-in tomorrow I still haven't lost a significant amount of weight after being so totally OP, I am definitely going to switch to FF for a couple of weeks. From some of the posts I've read dealing with the FF plan, there are quite a few people who just use FF to get them off a low carb stall.

Well, I have some banking and shopping to do so I guess I'd better get out there before it gets too hot.

Hey gals,

Posting a bit late today. Pretty uneventful day today. Don starts soccer practice tonight, guess the summer is over!

Peachie, love hearing about your boys too, I bet they could be pals. Darren wanted an igwana (sp?) for his birthday, Grandma was going to get one for him, but dh put his ka-bash on that one. I guess I am glad, because it would have been another chore for me.

Worried about Tippy, anyone heard from her?

Haven't seen mamaj in a while either, come out come out wherever you are!

have a great day all!
