Jif... I checked w/dh, so I know the general area of the BBQ restaurant we talked about.... the 2nd Ave deli is around 12th -13th St (not sure which one) and the BBQ place is 1 or 2 blocks below it... of course, in that same area are also Japanese, Mexican.... most anything.... my ONLY request is to puhleeeeeeze not go Italian.... pasta is my biggest weakness and I don't think I could be around it and not eat it other than that...... it really is a great area... and for those who insist (on bringing home stuff to their families, of course! ) Veniero's is right nearby!!!!!
I have the calendar cleared....... you gotta know how much I am ready for this: I LOVE to go fishing. A friend called and asked if we wanted to go out on Aug 4th....... what did I say? Sorry, I'm meeting friends!!! Now chickies, don't make a liar out of me!!

and there also used to be a ukrainian restaurant around there somewhere. not that we can actually eat pierogies...

Anyhow, like I said, the East Village (not the Lower East Side - altho that's nice too) has just about everything....... oh yes, I even have a very general idea where there is a Czech restaurant! But, if we are voting.... hmmmmmm gee whiz Jif - you got me thinking/dreaming about BBQ!!!!!!!
Oh girls! Do yourself a favor and get together if you can! Who else is in the area? I sure was hoping to come but times are too close together! Maybe next time!
