and we have not made any decisions about where/when to meet!!! sunday would probably be best for peachie and me [won't it??? THOSE RELATIVES will probably leave on saturday, since school starts early that next week].

sam n rosies grandma has a vote for the lower east side, i think. i'm not sure how mom will hold up. of course, i'm not even sure mom will come along anyway.

so, ladies, let's hear it... where? when??? any and all ideas welcome.

I checked w/dh, so I know the general area of the BBQ restaurant we talked about.... the 2nd Ave deli is around 12th -13th St (not sure which one) and the BBQ place is 1 or 2 blocks below it... of course, in that same area are also Japanese, Mexican.... most anything.... my ONLY request is to puhleeeeeeze not go Italian.... pasta is my biggest weakness and I don't think I could be around it and not eat it:( :o :^: :^: other than that...... it really is a great area... and for those who insist (on bringing home stuff to their families, of course! ;) ;) ;) :p ) Veniero's is right nearby!!!!!

I have the calendar cleared....... you gotta know how much I am ready for this: I LOVE to go fishing. A friend called and asked if we wanted to go out on Aug 4th....... what did I say? Sorry, I'm meeting friends!!! Now chickies, don't make a liar out of me!!;):lol:

peachie... venieros is better than the joints in little italy,and especially better than ferrarra's. they even make those fig cookies grandma P used to make!!!!

and there also used to be a ukrainian restaurant around there somewhere. not that we can actually eat pierogies...

Anyhow, like I said, the East Village (not the Lower East Side - altho that's nice too) has just about everything....... oh yes, I even have a very general idea where there is a Czech restaurant! But, if we are voting.... hmmmmmm gee whiz Jif - you got me thinking/dreaming about BBQ!!!!!!!:^: :^:

Oh girls! Do yourself a favor and get together if you can! Who else is in the area? I sure was hoping to come but times are too close together! Maybe next time!

Is the 4th really reasonable for the Joisey sisters? With family in? we could do another time if it is too much!
