Talking Hallo everyone, I am back...........

Hallo everyone!

I am back at the office, I can’t believe how quick the time went by. I had a very nice time we did not go to a holiday resort accept visiting my parents for a few days. Done some chores at home, tidy some cupboards and done some painting. I do not have time to read all the threads. I will try to read some off them in my lunchtime. Hope everyone is well. I did not stick to the diet plan at all! I gained 2lbs, which is not bad considering all the food I consumed.

I got hold The Low Carbohydrate Addict’s Diet written by R Hellerman. I started reading and it sounds like a great plan. But does it work? I would like some fruit (other than strawberries) and bread some times. Are some of you following the plan and could you give me some tips?

Default Welcome Back!

So nice to see you! We have all missed our little shrinking African Violet.

Don't worry about the 2 pounds, Hensa. It will melt away fast. There are lots of folk here on the Heller Plan - which we call CALP or CAD so I am sure you will get lots of advice. Yes, it does work, but not for everyone - same as any plan.

Gotta go check out new features. Be sure to read SUzanne's announcement up top.

Once again, Welcome back to the Coop!

Hensa!

Nice to see you back hon! Sounds like you had a very restful vacation--always good for the soul. Don't worry aboutthe 2 pounds--2 pounds is a drop in the bucket! Just dive back in full steam ahead and you'll be right back where you were! As for the Heller's plan, oh uyes, I am doing thet plan and yes it does work! I have lost 13 pounds thus far on the plan and I love it! BUT, some people's systems cannot tolerate the carbs (or such a high count) so be very careful if you want touse it! I find the flexibility to be the best part of the plan. See you on the daily!

Welcome back Hensa.... You can have your fruit or bread at the reward meal. It really is a good plan.

Welcome back Hensa!
I do the Heller's CAD and I absolutely love it! I've lost 30 pounds since the first part of September. The best part is that i don't ever feel deprived or like I'm on some horrible "diet". It's just a way of eating for me that is like second nature. I never feel the need to cheat during the day because I know I have a Reward Meal coming. It doesn't work as well for some, but for me, it's the best WOE I've ever found.

Nice to see your smiling face again, Hensa. Glad you had a good vacation.
I was on CAD/CALP for two years and had no significant weight loss. But then I didn't lose on Atkins either. I think my body became resistant to the low carb method. I'm now on WW and finally losing (slowly) but I'm not advocating that you not give CAD/CALP a try. Some people have been very successful with it. I sure did love my Reward Meals ...maybe too much. LOL
