I've known people who put butter or margarine on graham crackers. I've tried it but it didn't appeal to me at all. I prefer them plain--if I eat them at all. I don't even like s'mores. Trader Joe's has a rosemary raisin cracker that is to die for with cream cheese and raspberry chipotle salsa on top.
What's a graham cracker without butter ? Never tried it.
I am really tempted by your description of the rosemary raisin cracker, etc.
Note to self :
Stay out of Trader Joe's.
Hi, all - flyby for me today. I made it to water aerobics last night and must have been a bit overenthusiastic. Between that and sleeping on the couch, I'm not feeling particularly great today. I'll get over it. Scale won't budge despite multiple days of being "good"; I'm creeping up on TOM and I'll lay the blame on that. If nothing else, it means the next week should be the one that lets me move my ticker down again, finally.
More tonight, if I don't fall asleep! Train keeps a'rollin' ... all night long.

Bargoo - Trader Joe's will kill you. Stay far far away.
I like graham crackers with peanut butter. A lot. So much that I have to not eat them often. And I weigh them as I spread the PB.
Becky - the whoosh is coming, I know it.
I had four girl scout cookies last night - two shortbread and two thinmint. Combined to one serving worth of either one calorie wise. I'm okay with that.
Allison - did your overeaten items contain extra sodium or sugar?
Saef - if you have noticeable definition in your arms from the lifting you probably have some muscle weight. Don't know how much, which is always the million dollar question. I have about 7 pounds that I sometimes try to allocate to mucsle - is it that or am I delusional? Meg gained that much from weights I think, so there is hope. (The rest I know is stupid eating, if I ever get rid of those I'll look at the last 7 again... )
Dagmar - hope you find your phone!
I'm holding pretty solid in the 135 range. Drops down to 134, up to 136, settles back to 135. Let's see what another weekend does to it...
Iris - a refresher week of logging and weighing sounds like a good idea. I definitely know that OCD starts fast with the food logs...
Megan - they are working on the remastered STNG release. We got the demo disk with three episodes. I like Capt. Picard a lot, and remastered in perfect detail on BluRay is even better. LOL
Allison - did your overeaten items contain extra sodium or sugar?
Sodium, yes, sugar no. But it was pasta and cheese. I actually woke up being kind of crampy, but that passed. Just keep your fingers crossed for tomorrow morning!
All right - I'm going to start logging/counting my foods on Monday and do it for the week to see where it takes me. The weekend will be up in the air since I have dinner plans tonight and will be out of town tomorrow... I'll try to take it easy but I'm not trying to figure out calories in whatever I may be offered to eat. I can start dealing with that next week when I'm totally in charge of my own meals again.
Anyway, I'm sitting here in my workout clothes trying to get motivated to either get on the treadmill or get my butt out the door - I am making a deal with myself that even if I just want to walk that is ok. Jogging/running will come.
My weight is finally going down. Came in under 1400 cals again yesterday, trying the same for today. Today I planned ahead for the bagels at work and didn't eat anything at home before coming in. I can rely on my lack of willpower. I logged the one bagel + lf cream cheese in advance before I got to work.
Dagmar, I'm an "unphoner" too. I have a pay-as-you-go plan for unlimited talk and text for $2/day, for only the days that I use it. I think 7 people have the number. I spent $12 last month. It seems to work the way I use a phone. And being a conspiracist of sorts, I suspect we haven't heard all the info we might need about what having them "plastered" to the ear does over time. I don't let DS12 use it much at all.
allison - I busted my alcohol serving budget for the week by 1, by having two drinks last night. It's going to make for a strange weekend!
bargoo - ooh, graham crackers are deadly! Marshmallow fluff or Nutella for me. I don't think Ive had one since 2008, when I took on the weight loss project. At least they're gone! Allison's Trader Joe recipe would put me right over the edge - I am NOT going to look for them!
shannon- well done with the GS cookies! Being able to stop speaks volumes about your level of control.
saef - I think Shannon has a great point - have you thought about a body composition test - a good one? Might give you some answers. But great-looking arms and shoulders might well be worth getting used to a new target number - it IS getting to sleeveless top season!
iris - getting into the workout clothes is a darn good first step. I'm still sneaking up on exercise routines. "Just a little" is always better than nothing.
jessica - thumbs up on the bagel plan.
WHOOSH, baby! 150.5! TOM blew in with a vengeance in the middle of the night - could live without that, but hey ... I'll take it. Now I have to hold my ground over the weekend ...
I went well over my alcohol limit yesterday and frankly didn't care. I felt down from having my weight go up over the course of the week and didn't care that I was sabotaging it further. So guess what? I lost a half a pound! 151.5 this morning--I'm over half way to my goal.
Talking of cell phones. We have ours through our company. Our typical phone bill--just for the cell phones--is $1100.00 a month. Land line at work is $125. At home, our phone is bundled with our cable and internet--about $200 a month. Technology. I can't live without it.
I have a prepaid plan for my cell phone, no contracts and no bills. About every 3 months I spend $20 to buy more airtime and more minutes. Works great for me. My land line that I use at home is about $16 a month and that includes toll calls.
Becky, you are doing great.
Allison, I understand the "didn't care" attitude , I sometimes know what I am doing is detrimental and just don't give a rats patootie.
Biked to 7am yoga class this morning. Good way to start the day. It's beautiful outside and I'm wearing cute clothes and I'm off to get my hair done, and DH and I are going out to the symphony tonight. Plus my weight is down to 135.2.
I used to be a cheapo cell phone plan person, but then I finally upgraded to a smartphone. I don't use many minutes each month for calling (share the plan with DH and we never get above 200 minutes), but I find myself using the internet all the time.
