Joy ~ If you like good ice cream, try Talenti Gelato (they sell them at Dominick's and probably some other stores like Jewel). It. Is. Amazing. 1/2 cup contains around 200 calories depending on the flavor you get, but wow is it worth it. I've tried the Tahitian Vanilla Bean and the Double Dark Chocolate gelato pints and the taste and texture is just absolutely amazing. They are all natural, hormone free, gluten free, and just downright sinful. Eating two bites of the gelato is sometimes sheer heaven.

ETA: They have a Sicilian Pistachio flavor! http://www.talentigelato.com/Product...Pistachio.aspx

Oh my Emme...why, oh why do you tempt me so?! I betcha that pistacchio is goooooood. I've never tried Gelato, but heard of it before. That's one to put on my "bucket list" things to try.

Ok...sooooo....TOM today. Feel like poo. But at least the hungries should simmer down by tomorrow. Tonight I'm eating homemade oatmeal raisin cookies...reminding myself of how healthy and GOOD FOR ME they are because I used organic sugar, oats and coconut oil!

Seriously...not too bad...just had about 5 cookies for the entire day and 2 slices of pumpkin pie. Not too over-the-top for my daily sweets.

Anyhoot..went to the doctor today to take some bloodwork (vitamin d check). My new doc asked me if I was a runner...when I told her YES and that I had lost 60 lbs this past year, she starred with her jaw dropped and said, "well, I would have never guessed you were any bigger than you are now...the weight you are at looks very natural...you look strong and fit..." I must admit...to have my doctor tell me that made me feel...GREAT!

I thought about it...and responded, "truth be told...this IS my natural weight...the weight I can pretty much eat whatever I want, get minimum exercise and remain comfortably".

That made me think...

Perhaps I should just continue on my current path doing what FEELS natural. EATING what feels NATURAL. EXERCISING when it feels NATURAL. GORGING on my favorite foods when it feels necessary and NATURAL. NOT EATING very much at all when it feels NATURAL. Perhaps listening to my body IS best. I've heard of a "set point" or "basal metabolism" thingy...perhaps there is TRUTH to this. A SET POINT or WEIGHT that our bodies will try to attain and maintain...without any effort. The only way we screw that up is GROSSLY overeating/undereating. Otherwise...we will tend to simply HOVER over/around a certain weight. I think I will subscribe to this one.

I'm really diggin' this journey! Oh now if these darn cramps could cease...I wanna run on the beach again...stupid hurricane ruining my weekend plans...grrrrhhhh!!!! Stay safe everyone!

Default Aaaahhh....How I miss the beach!:(

Here's a pic of me and my 12 yr old at the beach this past weekend. Sisters...perhaps??? Ok...perhaps not! But I love to tease her with that and of course...like every daughter, she thinks her Mom is as old as DIRT!

Joyful, you and your daughter are STUNNING! I agree about the feeling or listening to your body. I've been working on it and am certainly a work in progress.

Hey Fruitlady...I just noticed your from Lehigh Valley...I used to live in the Poconos..not far from you. I miss the LV Mall! My eldest daughter moved back up there...guess she couldn't stay away from the bears, deers and...huh?

Thanks ladies. I'll make sure to SICKEN my daughter with your comments! haha! Don't know why she wants me in depends so badly...I'd love it if I had a youngish type mother...especially one who could do all the fun stuff.

Ok...well...at about 1am this morning, we had another AFTERSHOCK and this one was pretty sizeable...meaning the entire house shook. Texted my ex-hubby in NYC and he said he felt it there too. This is crazy!!! AND to make matters worse this hurricane is looking like its increasing in strength and headed right our way!

I'm already cleaning out the garage so that I can actually store my car in it. Tearing down the umbrella's and will probably move the chairs out of the backyard by the pool. Donno if I'll have to board up my windows...I'm staying tuned for that..cuz I've got ALOT of windows. All that work in itself may kill meh!

Hope you are all stayin' safe.

k8yk & joyful- I'm about 5 mi. from the L.V Mall, took my daughter there for school shopping! Poconos is about 60min. from here.

joyful- i also wanted to say, I believe also that there is a set point, a weight that your body wants to be. I found this out about a month ago, it was very hard maintaining below 110lb. When I accepted that I couldn't do it after a year of struggling, I gained weight & started eating what I was hungry for, cooking it myself. I even eat sweets if i make it myself and am hovering around 114-118lbs. If you follow your instincts, eat whole food, when your hungry and what your hungry for, everything just falls into place.

Love your photo!

Woo Hooooo!!! FULL POWER restored...FINALLY!

Wow...it's amazing how we take simple things like electricity or the internet for granted. Let's give our creator thanks.

In any event...my diet has been sporatic to say the least. I've been eating when and where I could. Hamburgers, hotdogs and fried chicken. Icecream (before it melted), cookies, etc. Got on scale today and only gained a pound. Been keeping up with my cinnamon pills and digestive enzymes so maybe that had something to do with it. Oh well...I miss my veggies and running. I also miss swimming in my pool. Want my LIFE BACK.

Thanks ShannonATL! Haven't been around here in a minute. I've been...well...eating. And by EATING..I mean just unrelentless (back to my old ways) eating. I hit an all time low last night and went to McDonalds and had my old time favorite meal (double fish filet, fries and diet coke)! Well..at least I didn't order the 2 apple pies that would usually accompany it.

I've been avoiding the scale as of recently (for obvious reasons)...but today I got on and I'm 4 pounds over my redline weight! Now..I'm sure some of those pounds (maybe 3 of them) are water weight from all the extra sodium, but still..it's time to get crack-a-lackin!

The worse part is that I haven't ran in weeks and even then it hasn't been regular. Once a week, does not count for me as regular! My unhealthy eating wouldn't be a problem for my weight if I were still running, but this type of eating while being sedentary will get me right back up to or over 209 lbs! I've gotta do something...be accountable again. Get back to healthy eating.

Down, but certainly not out.

Eating icecream by the gallon. Crazy but I've only gained 5 lbs so far..tee hee! I'm sure this will add up if I don't stop soon...but so far I'm having fun!

I'm getting a new business off the ground and it's very stressful right now. No time to think about my meals right now. I still miss running, but I'm engaging in so much other physical activity on a regular basis...my body is just increasing in muscle mass with all the food and icecream I've been packing down!

Don't want to end up lookin' like a linebacker...so I'll scale it back, prolly in the new couple of weeks. Hope all is well with everyone.
