We have Amazon Prime also, and I find myself ordering things like shampoo and vitamins that I'm just too lazy to drive to Target for... I think we order something every day, too...
Me too, they made it so easy. Plus I'm a big fan of no sales tax.
Waaahhh! We can order stuff from Amazon but it's limited to books, DVD's. etc. There is an Amazon.ca but the selection, compared to yours, sucks! Ditto the Canadian Zappos.ca.
Anybody down there wanna adopt me? After the war my mother was on her way to Minneapolis, and I would have been an American if my dad hadn't shown up along the way.

Ya know, Dagmar, kids are incapable of thinking about themselves not existing. I still can't. I'm still able to think about myself being born as a Rockerfeller or a European Prince, without sticking to the reality that there was only one egg and one sperm out of trillions and trillions that would ever have been me. I still shudder at thinking about the long odds that I appeared at all.
LOL, another addict to Amazon's one click and Prime. It doesn't give me time to decide if I could live without; I just click and go.
LOL Bill, the other day we were watching TV and they had a commercial for the iPhone where someone saw something interesting and immediately ordered it on their iPhone. I was saying to DH, I bet people are getting themselves into debt much more easily nowadays because it's so easy to buy things without hardly thinking about it! I bought what felt like just a couple things off of iTunes last month (one-click ordering there too) and ended up spending $50. Oops.
My cold is getting better. I slept an extra hour or so last night and I'm working from home today (in retrospect I should never have gone to work yesterday, but oh well). Not sure what will happen for my race tomorrow. I told DH that I will plan to run, but if I can't run I'll at least be able to walk. I think by tomorrow I should be okay to run but I certainly won't be setting any records with this race.
I also have the Amazon app on my iPhone, had to turn off the 1-click feature... Got me in too much trouble.
Jessica - glad you are starting to feel better. Hope you get to do your run tomorrow, even if you walk.
Dagmar - you would have been a completely different person if your dad hadn't kept your mom in Canada!
Sheila - is there a Trader Joe's near you? They have good deals on gluten free, too.
I have had a good week this week. Weight has been good, measurement are good, bought a bunch of clothes at Kohl's and everything I picked up fit! Some things I bought without trying are actually too big and I will have to exchange. I love it when clothes fit in the dressing room on the first try!
OK, this is funny, the further I read in the posts, I had no idea there were so many Amazon Prime addicts. Amazon is my shopping pal. Some girls go to the mall with their friends, I go to Amazon and the Prime search option. I’m glad that others order more than me though. I’m not daily. Maybe every other day.
Dagmar, I’m betting Toronto is nicer than Minneapolis. OK, that’s from a former Minneapolis resident.
Bill, I’ve never thought about the one egg and zillions of sperm and the odds to create me. So… if I’d conceived with one sperm to the right there would be a chance I’d gotten the skinny gene? Oh well, that one probably would have had the dumb gene as well.
Jessica, I’m glad you’re feeling better. The increased debt theory is interesting. Since returning online purchases tends to be frustrating, those impulsive buys usually aren’t sent back. And itunes, well Apple would never give back your money. Although they were really nice when I bought a song with loads of profanity and I’d wanted the original song. They let me download the correct one for free.
Shannon, did you really have to tell me that there’s an Amazon app for iPhone??? Ok, now I’ll be joining the daily ordering group. Congrats on your Kohl’s finds. I love their sales and clearance racks.
It is Friday. There is no better day of the week. The weekend stands before us and that is joyful. And I did it. I worked the entire 5 days. We’d had furlough days and having longer weekends spoiled me and so I started taking days off too. But my goal this week was to see if I had the staying power to work 5 days. And here I am, at my desk, thinking of ways to leave early.

I was waiting at my doctor's appointment and I had to resist searching my iphone for the Amazon app! I did it, but I'm sure I'll cave later.
My doctor visit went well. Those of you with thyroid issues-- question for you. I'm on Synthroid for the T4. He said my numbers are "ok" but I could use a little T3. He prescribed something to try (Rx is in the car and I don't remember what it's called). He said it might help my feeling cold all the time and some other symptoms I still have. Do any of you take something for the T3? Make a difference? He said I could try it and if I didn't notice a difference to stop. He also told me my pulse was low and said that could be if I was a current or former athlete-- I told him-- not former, but current! Hooray for low pulse and blood pressure-- they may make me dizzy but I know I'm healthy! My eyes seem to be stabilizing so that is good. I'll see what the eye specialist says when I see him in a couple of months.
I have to share a NSV with you guys.
Last night my dh said "I want to tell you something but please don't take it the wrong way". I thought-- that doesn't sound good! He then told me that my feet used to be chubby and now they're not. I laughed and told him anytime he wants to tell me any part of me is thin he is welcome to. And, yes, my feet used to be "chubby". I called them "wide" but in reality, they were fat!
Michele, I take T3 (generic for Cytomel). My body has some problem converting T4 to T3, so even when they had me on enough Synthroid to drop my TSH to 0.01, my T3 was below average and I had lots of symptoms. I like to think of Cytomel as my wonder drug -- a week after I started taking it my knee pain had disappeared entirely and I felt like a whole new person.
FWIW I take 5mcg of Cytomel every day, and 75mcg of Synthroid 6 days a week. I take them at the same time, I don't know if it makes a difference.
Jessica, I hope you have a good race tomorrow, even if you aren't able to run it like you'd planned.
As you know this is my craziest weekend, then I'll have some freedom. I've got performances tonight, tomorrow night, Sunday matinee. Benchpress tournament tomorrow morning/early afternoon. Baby shower brunch Sunday. Cast party after the show Sunday evening. Whew. I'm glad I got some sleep last night.
Megan, good luck this weekend with everything! I think I will be able to run the race, I will probably just be slow. That's okay though, since it will make up for not exercising yesterday or today!
Have a good race, Jessica! I need to find my brochure and get signed up for our Komen race - it's usually Mother's Day week-end. It's my favorite event and I have quite a collection of t-shirts to commemorate it!
Today is supposed to be my off day from exercise, as I've had pretty serious workouts the last six days and have done yoga every morning, including today. I'm having to force myself not go change and exercise because I know I need the rest. Funny - normally I'm having to force myself to go change and exercise when I get home...
Shannon - did you have a successful rest day?
I had THE - most pathetic run yesterday. I don't know what was up, couldn't even make the 5k mark w/o at walk break. Every bit of it was torture, so after 8-9k i gave in and started walking.
Last night i went out with a friend i rarely see - we hit a lovely french bistro in my neighbourhood - so i skipped my WW visit this AM - just couldn't face the 'stink eye' - oh dear, what a slippery slope.
