Friday night before we went to a wonderful Vietnamese restaurant and then a Blues dance party, we went shopping for a pair of black boots at DSW. They've been advertising like crazy that they're having a 50% off sale.
After I found just the right pair that looked great and felt great, the cashier told me they weren't marked down at all. Apparently, it was an up to 50% off sale and many weren't even on sale. I was mad about the advertising that got me into the store, but I'm glad to finally have a pair of black boots that fit well and will go with all my new black skirts and colorful dresses.
For Christmas, I've asked my mom to get me a big black hand bag. I've never had so much black in my closet. Today, I'm wearing my big black sweater that goes down to my knees with the big buttons that Meg likes. It's only problem is it's acrylic instead of wool, so it isn't as warm as I'd like it to be and the cable knit is so big that the wind goes right through it when I walk around NYC - I've become a slave to fashion!
