Hi Nicky. I'm so glad you posted, because that's such an inspirational story. I think you'll find the book Intuitive Eating is about the same principles as you're already working with. I also recently bought a book called The Slow Down Diet, which actually has no diet at all in it - it's about how our weight is affected by *how* we eat, by how we think about food, and by pleasure in our food. I really liked it.

Thanks for the book idea, Julie. I love to read. I've been wanting to post some things in the IE book that I am rereading but I can never remember to bring the book downstairs!!!!

Hello Nicky. Congratulations on your success at IHOP. There are a couple of books, both are written by Christian authors, one is Weigh Down Diet and the other is Thin WIthin. God bless you with success.

I have to say I'm having a much easier time with IE the second time around. It still baffles me when I leave food on my plate or pass on dessert cause I could just take it or leave it. Im weighing myself more than I'd like to, but I don't beat myself up over the number...or run to a quick fix diet. I'm so glad I dont have all that anxiety that came with dieting

Good for you! We need to tackle our battles one at a time, I think the need to eat as we should is more important that worry about how many times you weigh in. I say take baby steps and work one thing at a time. have a blessed day.
