Feeling much better today. So much better that hubby and I went shopping!! Woo hoo!!! He is now getting a pair of shoes for Christmas that he picked out. They are wrapped and under the tree.

When we were married 26 1/2 years ago, we bought very inexpensive wedding bands. Over the years we talked about buying new rings. Guess what I'm getting??? I had one picked out that was very nice, but he said no. He wanted a better one for me! I was getting very teary eyed. They have to make it a bit bigger, but I'll have it for Christmas morning. I'm not going to tell our son or my friends here. I couldn't keep it quiet though!!!

Hope you are all having a good weekend. I have cramps for the 4th day in a row. I want menopause to be over with!!!

hi alli cats.. i am on the mend with my knee. still stiff and swollen and bruised like all get out but on the mend. my son took me out for awhile yesterday and did some christmas looking and a little shopping. i want this christmas to be nice for my grandkids but i do have trouble finding just the right thing and sticking to a budget when it comes to them.

tammy i am so glad things are going good for you. a new ring from your hubby ! sounds like he loves you like the first year. we have been married for 28 years in feb. looking forward from that day who would have guessed it. looking backward from today and i wonder where the time went !

as for me and my alli. we have parted ways for awhile. went back to old ways of eating and wondering why as i am sick and bloated. my surgery was a good excuse at the time as i was feeling sorry for myself, medicating with food and pain pills. so off the vicoden, off the pizza, and stop this depression that is looming before it overtakes me...tomarrow will be a better day..sue

That is so nice about the ring. Try being in early menopause for about lets see, 15 years or so lol. Everything is kind of bad to normal. Glad the weekend is over. Happy next week lol.

Sue, glad your son was able to take you out to get some things done. Don't push it on your knee!! Take your time and let it heal properly. I think hubby's hospitalization in September really made him do some soul searching. He has become a different person than he had been the past few years. I know that alot of it was the alcohol, and I like the man he is once again.

I haven't take an Alli for a couple weeks now. I need to just refocus myself. Hubby and I were talking that we really need to start going to the Y again. We used to do that often until he got sick.

Shy, a friend of mine went through early menopause. I guess I figure that I'm 52, and I should be finished with this stuff.

I'm volunteering the next 3 mornings at the Christian radio station near here. Should be fun. I'll be answering the phones for their Christmas Wish thing they have going on.

The woman in my family don't tend to go thru menopause until they are in their late 50's to early 60's. Heck my mother was asking me about menopause symptoms lol

Well the scale told the unwanted truth. My vegas trip "bumped" me by 4 lbs. Some of which I am sure is water weight...so I will charge ahead and drink lots of water this week!!!

I am sure once you get your routine back to normal the weight will come right back off.

Shy, I want it to be over now!!!! One of my best friends is 5 years younger than me, and she is completely finished with menopause.

Still, I haven't weighed since before I got sick last week. It is TOM too, so the weight gain from that and the loss from being sick probably balanced out to no loss and hopefully no gain!! lol BUT you had a good time in Vegas, right??

Had fun at the radio station today. It was amazing how people were stepping up to help out. When I left, they were on the 3rd of 12 families. I need to check to see how far they are now.

OH I definately had a good time in Vegas, infact, I am already working on planning my next trip. I loved taking people that had never been there, I like playing tour guide...lol
I got to eat out at a place that no kiddig cost more per person than I had ever had...it was like $250 per person for dinner and the food was absolutely amazing!!! I would gladly take the 4 lbs just for that meal!
