  • Take Off
    Hi,

My friend started the take off today but lost the diet page...can you please tell me what you can eat for the 3 days...she thinks eggs, meat & vegetables.

    Thanks!
  • Which take-off are you doing the one with the juice or the one with the protein and oranges?
    Diane
  • She's doing the juice, I actually gave it to her with the diet sheet but she lost the diet sheet. I joined LA Weight Loss but had to back out when I found out I was pregnant. Thanks...she had a salad today with roast beef on it and a little dressing, hopefully this is okay.

  • Hi jibbelle:
I am having a terrible day I seem to not be able to control myself and tomarrow is my wiegh in day guess who does not want to go. It is my munchie week but I am usually able to control myself better. I amm also thinking I won't reach my Christmas goal unless I have bettter control of myself than I have had in the past few days.
    How was your day?
    Diane
Jibbelle I never did the take-off like that, I guess it is different from when I started. I must have posted the wrong take-off I did the two- day sorry.
  • Hi all,

Jibelle- Thank You for welcoming me with opem arms. I like posting messages on the internet but I haven't had a place to post as often as I want. I am really curious to know about your weight loss history. When did you start LAWL? I had started LAWL I think when it first started. I was desperate to try to get this weight off. The counselors were helpful in the beginning but after it was not good news. Do you weigh 3x a wek? I remember telling them I couldn't due to the fact of the distance of the place rom my home. It was a bit of a lie. I just didn't really believe in weighing that much a week. I guess to each his own.

    Talk to you soon,
    Fran
  • I pulled out my Jet Start sheet that they gave me in August. It says you can have unlimited amounts of everything I listed....except for eggs and juice. I am guessing all centers have the same thing but I have no idea! LAWL is not very consistent (ie. fat free vs light dressing! )

    Diane-
Sorry to hear you are having such a muchie week. I know the feeling as I have been there before. I dont know if you have any hobbies....but whenever I get a craving I pick up my sewing or a book. After 15 or 20 minutes I am not even thinking about it anymore. Try to find something you can do every time you get a craving....especially something that keeps your hands busy! I also bought a bag of sugar free hard candy. If I am really desperate...I suck on one of those for a bit. I hope you get back on track sooooooon!

    Fran-
I started LA on August 4.....32 lbs ago! I have been losing around 1 to 1.5 lbs per week. Some weeks are more, others are less. I started out weighing in 3 times a week, but after I started taking classes again (while working more than full time!) that became really difficult. Now I go 2 times a week and that seems to work really well. I really dont like weighing twice a week so I usually hide my eyes once a week. I tell her not to tell me! I only look at my Saturday morning weights, otherwise the ups and downs discourage me.

    Marcie....how are you???

    Bunny...you still with us???

Better get dinner started! Take care all.
  • Hi Fran:
Welcome. I have done LA a few times. On April 10th, 2001 I decided to give it another try. I have done very well this time this is my 7th month being on it and I have lost 54 pounds. I do go to the center three times a week it keeps me honest. I do have tough weeks sometimes this is one of them. I just don't let it ruin all the progress I have made. I did have to buy extra weeks though because I did not lose at the rate of weight loss that they wanted and I cheated a lot in the beginning until one of the councelors got me on track. For me since I started there have been a lot of changes the jet start for instance did not have juice included in the three day. I even think at this point I might buy a couple of extra weeks since it is so cheap take some of the pressure of of being perfect at Christmas. I have about 12 pounds until my goal as of yesterday. Some councelors I like some I don't but I do like posting here, there is a lot of support. When I am not happy with my center I am always able to express it here.
Marcie we are hear for you. Let us know how you are doing?
Jibbelle thanks for the advice, I knew what I was doing was wrong and I could have handled it better. I just have to cut it out before it becomes a pattern or habit. I do have hobbies knitting and reading. I chew gum alot, I shouldn't though alot of the sugar free stuff gum, candy sends me to the bathroom I think it is the sorbitol I have trouble with.
    Have a good night

  • Hey Ladies,

I'm back... I've missed all of you... sitting here now, trying to catch up & saw a few new names... which that is always GREAT...
    Hello All!

I see that you all seemed to have survived Thanksgiving. We had so much going on... just to busy... & a lot of emotions, too... we had a funeral last Tuesday... had company for Thanksgiving, had a wedding Saturday... & so on... this is the first time that I've had a chance to turn on the computer.

With all the craziness, I did lots of 's... mainly missing my water & eating non OP foods... don't think that I can make it to the center until Friday... will post the damage after my weigh-in.

I would like to brag & boast a little... I made a veggie basket and a fruit tray with a melon swan for the wedding reception along with a broccoli salad and the bride & groom made from squash. It was all lovely (the wedding was just beautiful)... I don't cater... I just did this for my close friend's daughter, the bride. But, I received so many compliments... I had one lady to tell me that she had relatives in Montgomery who were caterers & that she had never seen anything so lovely... I was from ear to ear... I was so pleased that they turned out well.

Jibbelle, hope that your interview turns out & that you get the job!

Diane, thanks for thinking of me... I need all the encouragement that I can get... especially with a housefull & so much going on.

    Have a great OP week!

    Nancy

  • Nancy-
Glad to see you are back! It sounds as if you have been busy! I hope things are a little slower for you now.

    Chershi-
Hello and welcome! Good luck getting back into the swing of things with LAWL. You mentioned that you are on the gold plan....I am on the red. When I get to 239 they are switching me to purple. Then gold sometime after that. A long time away!

How long ago did you do LAWL for the first time?
  • i joined lawl last spring!!!!
  • our center moved locations and has all new staff. that's one thing i didnt like. no consistancy.

the new people arent too nice but its not about them, its about me, right? the staff seems pushy at this new location.

well, i am off to eat lunch. turkey and some veggies--celery, cucumbers and broccoli.
