April's Challenge!
Ok ladies, I am going to be leading the April Challenge!
:carrot: :carrot: :carrot: I hope everyone will enjoy this modification of Dani's January challenge. 1) Weigh in on either April 2nd (Sunday) or 3rd (Monday) and this will be your weekly WI day for the challenge. I realize others weigh in on other days of the week, but I would appreciate it if we all could WI on either Sunday or Monday just for the challenge. You must post on this thread. 2) Each week on WI day you record (post) your progress...+1 point for every pound lost and -1 point for every pound gained. 3) Everyone needs to make some type of goal to strive toward weekly. This will earn you +1 point or 0 if you don't make your goal. examples would be some amount of excersize, water intake, meal planning, weight loss, etc. 4) You must post on your specified WI date plus another day durring the week that will get you another +1 point. This must be posted on this thread. 5) If you are able to make it through the 4 week challenge give yourself +5 points for completing the challenge. I want to end the challenge the on the 30th of April or the 1st of May. Winner gets bragging rights and the chance to host the next challenge! Good luck all! I am going to do this.
I will Weigh In on Sunday My weekly goal will be simple (as this is my first time) and that is to just stick to the diet and remember to eat every three hours!:D |

This will be my first challenge and I will drink all my water (seems like I'm not the only one that's difficult for) and stick to the plan and give it a fair chance to see what my losses will be when I WI on Sunday's!

Count me in. I will WI on Monday. I will continue to drink my water, I will exercise at least 3X per week other than my daily 15 min. walks at work and I will GET BACK ON JC PLAN (a must).

:( :( :( Unfortunately, i have to change my goal a bit coz i didn't realize that i'd be startin my mid-term exams this month.. So.. My weekly goals are: to drink my water, lower my salt intake, and exercise 3X week.

Week 2 goal will be to get in some forum of ATLEAST 30 mins of exercise a day. Week 3 goal: TBD Week 4 goal TBD 4) You must post on your specified WI date plus another day durring the week that will get you another +1 point. 5) If you are able to make it through the 4 week challenge give yourself +5 points for completing the challenge. |

I was reading through and realized that I hadn't posted my WI and goal...:dizzy: I will WI on Mondays...and I plan to get back on the exercise wagon and walk my treadmill 30 minutes, for 4 days each week. I will walk for 30 minutes extra when I go on vacation... ok here is what I tallied for Sunday weigh in we need to hear from Phyllis, Emma, Sharon, Little Freedom, Lynn, Sharon Sparkle, Rhonda, and Laurie. I liked having a daily challenge. It really helped me last night when I was tempted to have a cookie. During this month, I'm going to set a challenge every day in addition to my weekly challenge. For today, no eating after dinner + stick to my 24 WW points. Lynn |

First WI: 244.5
Got in 60 minutes of treadmill, a 15 minute Core Power class and a 15 minute Ab class. Logged all my food for my calorie count so far today. 6 glasses of fluid so far as well. |

Jeeze, my challenge and I couldn't get on to WI yesterday...
Well, I was 230 yesterday! Was soooo tired from the time change...did anyone else have a problem with it? Today, I plan to do my treadmill...30 minutes at least! Have a great day! |

Okay ya'll I don't know for sure how I'm going to do this, I'm just gonna stick to it.
The three hour thing is killing me. Why? Three hours isn't a long time... Today I'm going to drink MORE water, as yesterday I kept a food journal (first time for me) and was shocked to see that I only drank ONE glass of water. Maybe that's the exact reason I can't go three hours lol!! I ate about 2200 calories yesterday and my goal is 1600-2000, so not too bad for the first day. I'm counting calories now just to get an idea of what I'm eating, but don't plan to continue to count calories. I find it a chore. But I do need to know what exactly I'm putting into my body. So for now, it's cool. Today I'm really going for the water As I posted in another thread, I don't have a scale, I am trying to get to my dr.'s office to weigh myself, last time I checked: I was 260 about a month ago, and that's pretty much where I hang in at. So I'll go with that and measuring my arms, as they pretty much inflate and deflate right along with the rest of me: today my arms measured approx 21 inches :sumo: ....isn't that the size of a skinny woman's waist :fr: So I am changing my April Challenge Goal - my original was to stick to the diet and the every three hours. I'm adding to drink lots more water to that. |
Ok, this is going to be my second post for this week since I won't have internet access until I return Saturday.
I weighed in at 182 this morning, which is 2 lbs down from Sunday. I am not going to count it though, since food, eating times and water intake will be out of my control for the next 3 days. I do feel very positive though that next week can be very successful since I am doing so well this week! Just wait until I add in that exercise next week! ;) My only goal for Wed - Fri will be to make the best choices possible. In other words, I can't pick the restaurant, but I don't need to go for the fried everything plate with a double portion of dessert. Moderation and balance will be the key for this trip. (As will aspirin and alcohol! :p Just kidding! :D ) So take up my slack and drink extra water for me ladies!! See you Saturday! Sharon |
