I thought Jorge was helping Al lose his last 20lbs...? I ask because someone said Al started gaining weight and I didn't think you could after having gastric bypass surgery..?

Yeah you can gain weight after gastric bypass surgery. The stomach can stretch all over again.

Actually, lots of people start to gain weight back after having the surgery. It's one of the problems listed when you research it. They want to go back to their old way of eating.

It was pretty funny the last show I watched. Al took Jorge to his favorite restaurant in NY and Jorge had Al order his favorite meal. Then Jorge took it apart and showed him how much he could have of it -- I think it was prime rib. Jorge gave him one bite of the dessert and then took the rest away. Al looked bummed out.

Wow, I didn't know the stomach would stretch back out. Well Al does do a couple of shows for Food Network so maybe that's how he started gaining back some weight. Last time I saw him though, I thought he looked good.

Does anyone know how Al is doing on the diet? I tried going on the Today's show website but my computer would not let me open the info.

He lost 12 pounds but gained back 3...Jorge said it was b/c of body fluids and eating some foods with high sodium. But that was normal.

All diets are different for everyone. This diet works great for me. I have tried all diets and nothing as worked like this. I think you should give it a try. I have been on it since the first week of Jan. and I have lost 11 lbs. This diet allows you to lose weight in a healthy way. All I can say is that it is great!

Good Luck!
