I just watch an episode of the Biggest Loser I had recorded. It was so amazing. I went to their website, and they have a biggest loser club with personal fitmess plans, diet plans, and professional support. Only thing is it's $20 a month. I really need something to kick me into gear. Ed will be home in 3 months, and I would like to look good and feel good. He is so fit. And exercising all the time. I'm tired of feeling like such a cow next to him. I may do this club. I need to do something. Let me know what you think.

Marcie,
Losing weight is about yourself, how you feel! It's not about others. Of course, we love to feel more beautiful and sexy for our other half, but do it for yourself first! Your hubby, just gets to see how well you are treating yourself, and he gets to enjoy you as you are. If you do this for him, it will be harder. If you did this for yourself, you will succeed! Doing this for yourself is priority #1. You're worth it!

Marcie there is also a biggest loser section on this website (Under Exercize). I lurk around there sometimes for inspiration and exercize ideas. I also just ordered Jillian's Workout DVD's. Jillian actually posts on the site at times. Check it out...just make sure you come back here

I say try what you believe will work- I dumped Jorge (It was me, not him... yadda, yadda) and kept all of you! The Sugar Busters group didn't feel the same. Now, I just have to get to the gym!

This group is the best support and friendship but the diet isn't for everyone!

Do you have a three month goal set?

Marcie, what you see on the show on TV is a little unrealistic for real life. They are eating 1200 to 1500 calories a day and they are also exercising 5-6 hours a day really, really hard. No wonder they lose so much weight so fast. They are required to burn off every calorie they eat.

I know that from the last show, the one girl after the 2nd week at home had already gained back 8 lbs. One of the guys had put on about 20.

My personal opinion for what it's worth is that you'd be better off spending that $20 a month on something for you and using a free site (I think there's a place here to do it) to count your calories. If you really want someone to give you a daily meal plan, you can find those cheaper than $20 a month -- I paid $29 for an entire year to get meal plans, classes, a calorie counting place, exercise information, recipes, etc.

Although I like watching the biggest loser, never would I do participate in it. Losing 10 to 20 pounds in one week is way too much. The skin takes a long time to shrink back. If you lose too quickly, it will not shrink quickly. So I prefer losing 1 or 2 pound per week, and giving my skin time to shrink back!

I have to agree w/ her. I have put out so much money to those things and they haven't done anything for me like this site has. The support is nothing compared to here. I would rather pay $20 for this site because it has been great for me.

I have to agree with all of them, just put yourself first and do what makes you feel comfortable but NO MATTER WHAT PLAN YOU JOIN OR WHAT YOU DO NOBODY WILL EVER MAKE YOU LEAVE HERE! We are all in it for the long haul and you and everyone else will always be welcome to post here and remain our friend and support system!
