What if you eat 3 oz of protien and it doesn't add up to the 225 calories alotted for the protien?
like for lunch today I had 3/4 cup cottage cheese and 2 turkey slices.
Each of the turkey slices was 30 cal and the 3/4 cottage cheese was 120 that is only 180 calories...do I just drop the rest?
also for those who want to know, I had a 100 cal snack mix and 1/2 cup pinapple...I did the 100 cal snack mix cause I was short of the protien cals .
Vicki, choose one method, eith the oz. or cals. Sometimes cals can be hard to track. So a lot of people like to use the oz. Plus once they get good they can eyeball how much they need.
I am anal and I caount my calories and try my best to have it equal the measurements. But your right they don't match up perfectly. These are guidlines for you to follow. You need to make it work the best for you as an individual.
Let's say I am counting my protein. Do I use the total calorie count or just the protein calories (number of grams x 4)? Do you know what I am asking? I am thinking I use the whole calorie count... but want to be sure.
Note the amount for carbs ...80!!! Now, how much pasta is that? 1 strand? LOL. Actually, I think you are alowed 1/2 cup but sheash...it is barely anything really!
