Calorie Breakdown again...

I can not find that thread that give the calorie breakdown per meal for this plan... I really need that...

Would someone be kind enough to post that again? Please?

NEVER MIND - I found it ...

First time in the history of message boards - a search feature that works!

Amazing! :carrot:

I am going to post it here for others who want it too:

50 calories for veggie/fruit
45 calories for fat
225 calories for protein
80 calories for carbs

I have a question:

What if you eat 3 oz of protien and it doesn't add up to the 225 calories alotted for the protien?

like for lunch today I had 3/4 cup cottage cheese and 2 turkey slices.

Each of the turkey slices was 30 cal and the 3/4 cottage cheese was 120 that is only 180 calories...do I just drop the rest?
also for those who want to know, I had a 100 cal snack mix and 1/2 cup pinapple...I did the 100 cal snack mix cause I was short of the protien cals .

Just wondering what other people do...

Vicki, choose one method, eith the oz. or cals. Sometimes cals can be hard to track. So a lot of people like to use the oz. Plus once they get good they can eyeball how much they need.

I am anal and I caount my calories and try my best to have it equal the measurements. But your right they don't match up perfectly. These are guidlines for you to follow. You need to make it work the best for you as an individual.

are you sure that your 2 slices of turkey equaled 2 oz's?!?!? That seems like such a little amount of meat.

LaurieM35 01-08-2006 02:10 PM

Or maybe you could have thrown in another 1/2 slice of turkey to get closer to 200 calories.

I have a question...

Let's say I am counting my protein. Do I use the total calorie count or just the protein calories (number of grams x 4)? Do you know what I am asking? I am thinking I use the whole calorie count... but want to be sure.

LaurieM35 01-08-2006 02:25 PM

whole calorie count

dani4beauty 01-08-2006 03:06 PM

I agree with Laurie

DaisyBug08004 01-08-2006 05:22 PM

That was what I thought. NP - TY.

Note the amount for carbs ...80!!! Now, how much pasta is that? 1 strand? LOL. Actually, I think you are alowed 1/2 cup but sheash...it is barely anything really!

LaurieM35 01-08-2006 06:31 PM

actually I think it may only be 1/4th a cup. I know the rice is only 1/4th a cup! LOL!

ABWorldly 01-08-2006 06:34 PM
