a newbie's on her way ... tangy's the name ...

  • Hello peepz! I'm so excited to be part of this community. First things first, I'm Tangerine; better known as Tangy ... 21 years old from Philippines. I struggled with my weight all my life and now I am determined to change myself and my lifestyle. Before I tried Atkins and lost i guess 7 lbs but i regained it. i want to do the right thing to lose weight but i don't know how to start. can u help me? anyway ... i think having a buddy too will be a great help ... so someone can motivate me ... i just hope somebody wants me to be their buddy.. thankies again ... hope i'll have a great time here.

    Welcome to 3fc. Which ever diet you want to do there are plenty of people on it here. I prefer to count calories as it gives me the most choice. I lost 22lbs that way.

    I like to do exercise dvds as well as watching what I eat. My favourites are kickboxing and tae bo.

    By asking for help and a buddy.

    Eat the right portions.
    Eat 3 less bites of something.
    Use a smaller plate.
    Put yuor fork down between bites.
    Eat at the same time daily.
    Plan a healthy snack.
    Keep coming here.
    Find a plan that you like and stick to eat.

    This is not a diet but a life style change.

    @dill - congrats on that 22 lbs lost. I did taebo before ... the instructional one but didn't finish it. although i'm thinking of giving it another try. it was fun.

    @windsong - woah! i saw your siggy and u lost soo much! great job! i do have a problem of the portions stuff...coz i don't know how much of this or that to eat ... and anothing thing is eating at the same time daily coz i still am a student and my schedule is not consistent. but i would try those advices of yours. before i tried drinking a glass of water before eating then after every bite i drink...it helped me. thankies again.
