  • Welcome Redtrisha. I am just like you. 45 and have 100+ pounds to lose. I have found that after a certain age it has become harder to lose. I have been going on and off many plans tring to find one that fits me and my lifestyle. Well, years back DD and I were on the exchange program from WW so starting back to that on Monday---Tomorrow---. I sure hope I can stick with this one. Hope to talk to you again soon.

    Where do we start?I guess what program are you on.I have been switching around programs and they tell me that is not good.I lost 24lbs from April until now doing Beverly Hill's.I just couldn't afford the supplements anymore.On Wednesday I am joining weight watchers but I find that I need the support through the week,and on the weekends.I am so glad that we are going to help each other.I guess we go to the buddy board now or what I am new on here and haven't gotten around it all yet.Looking forward to be your buddy and just think next year this time we will be sunning our buns and feeling proud.See you soon

  • good morning trisha. i was doing ww. i had lost 20 and started gaining because i was having too many beer and eating wrong. i went on holdays and i ate better. i hope it contiues. glen

    I am glad to hear that you are eating better and yes I know beer can be a big problem.I like my coolers and wine.I hope that your eating stays on track now.Are you doing any kind of exercise.I am going to be gardening all day today so I think that should count.Then going to the slots tonight.They say you should reward yourself for a job well done so that sounds like a good reward to me.Talk to you soon

    How did you do yesterday.I din't do so hot.I worked my butt off outside and in and then went to the casino and then for chinese food.It tasted so good but felt guilty eating it.I need to find my motivation again and get this weight off before January.I hope you did better that me.Talk to you soon and have a great day

  • hi trishia. yesterday mom and i drove to fergus, acton, kinkardine and back through orangeville. we ate a chinese buffet and din't out. i don't get much because i sore knees and feet. i walk pat way to work.

    I am so proud of you for not pigging out in the chinese restaurant.You really toured around towns.I am excited about going to weight watchers tonight it feels like a fresh start.I know the weight will come off now.You should try arm exercises lol I even do them when I am on here.It will still help you to get some muscle.Keep up the good work and I will talk to you tommorow.Trisha

    I need to lose 100+ pounds too.

    I sure could use a buddy or three as well. I'm not sure what's involved in being a buddy but I can sure give and receive support.

    I am 48 years old. I have been trying to watch my portion sizes and snacking. I think I may try either WW or calorie counting. Right now getting started and being accountable are areas I need to work on.

    Nice to hear back from you. I have been reading posts for a while, but finally decided to join in and, like you said make some friends and hopefully get some positive re-inforcement.

    I don't have much experience with forums, bulletin boards etc., but from what I can tell from reading the posts the support is really encouraging. It's nice to talk with people who really understand the difficulites.

    I think I'm going to enjoy this ... and so the journey begins.

    How are you doing? With your plan... or anything else you want to share ? I read on one of the posts that you had a rough day yesterday. How was today?

    Today I went to the doctor and had a physical (yuk) and have to go for the obligatory tests.... tyroid, diabetes, cholesterol tomorrow and so I have to fast tonight. One way to stop the nightime eating

    One of my toughest challenges is eating after hubby goes to bed. I don't know who I think I'm fooling when I hide my eating (binging) because I think everyone can guess that didn't gain the weight through osmosis

    The more buddies the merrier and the more help we can give each other.I only have a minute and then have to get ready for work but hi and Laura vent all you want that is why we are here.I learned alot at the weight watcher meeting on Wed night and will share with you tonight.Just remember that we can do this if we put our mind to it and help each other out.Whenever you go for that extra food today just say to yourself do I really need this and what do I want more that chocolate bar or 2 punds less on my hips.Talk to you soon and have a great day.
