Hello everyone! I'm from the South Eastern portion of the USA. I'm starting the baby steps of losing weight. I've been over 300 pounds for about 8 years now, possibly a little longer. I do not have a scale of my own, but I plan to get one very soon. I am double the medically recommended weight for my height. It is very hard on me and slows me down. I can't even walk my dog anymore! I want to get down to 220, it is my first goal. From there I would be happy just being around 180. I don't see myself being smaller than that.
I heard from a few places that this forum is extremely helpful for losing weight and I figured I would come on by. I tried another website but it's hardly active and there's lots of "trolls" over there.
