New here. :)
I actually signed up for this website like ages ago, but I've never really been committed to my weight loss until now. I'm giving it the ol' college try this time.
Before I got pregnant, my weight was not an issue to me. I was 158lbs (I'm 5'5")- not what you would call 'thin', but I had plenty of energy, I liked my curves, and loved the way I looked. I gained around 70lbs during my pregnancy. I always assumed they would just fall off once I had her, but *shock* they didn't. She's now a little over a year old, and I'm still about 50lbs over my pre-pregnancy weight. I don't know what it is about the summertime, but it makes me want to be in shape. It's not like I'll be walking around in bikinis or anything even if I do lose the weight. I just want to be able to play in the yard with my daughter without having to rest every 5 minutes.
I'm doing this whole low-carb thing, but mainly trying to eat healthier, and teach myself the meaning of the words "portion control". I'm hoping to learn a lot, so I can not only lose the extra weight, but keep my new good habits for a long long time.
