Try Again!
I am back- after several years.
When I first came onto this site many years ago, I was at about 175 lbs, a single mom in the start of a new career and new relationship. I successfully got down to 155, was more fit than ever, and felt ALIVE!
My career took off, I was promoted and my responsibility, and stress increased, and I eventually became the Executive Director of a large national nonprofit. My relationship soared, and we married, and I went from being a single mom of 2 to a married woman with 4 kids, a husband and a dog. I was focused on everything else, and wellness, exercise and weight loss was once again, the lowest priority.
Then it all crashed down. My husband had multiple affairs, and ultimately left. I couldn't keep my job, because I was once again a single parent and the travel was too much. So, I took a HUGE paycut and switched organizations.
That happened about 8 months ago. I am settled in with my new job, and am dating again. But I also gained back the weight and am at 169 pounds. And I know it will just keep creeping up if I dont take control NOW! (Unfortunately I am not one of those people who loses weight when I am stressed!!)
I want this, and I need this, but there is something holding me back, and I cant put my finger on it. In a time where rejection seems to be all around me, I KNOW that having success in this area would not only help my physical health, it will give my emotional health it needs.
So here's hoping that this is going to be a success story. That through all the crap, this is going to be the one that makes the headlines of my life.
