Default Beyond despair!

Hello.

Well I promise this won't be a long and whiny post but I want to just say hello and get my name around! I am 21 years old and nearly 200lbs! At 5 foot, that is extremely overweight! Since June/July of 2011, I have lost roughly 30lbs. But for a long time now I have become stuck at this weight. I saw a picture taken of me this Friday night and I knew in that moment that I need to sort myself out. So I am attempting to kick myself up the butt and get on with it! The main bit I am going to find tricky is that I am on my final teaching practice before I qualify and living in a strangers house for the next 10 weeks in a new town and a tiny room! So not sure how I'm going to deal with that having them prepare my meals etc. It's a bit of a mad time to start this sort of lifestyle change I know, but if i don't start now I probably never will and I figured I want to do it now so that by the time I graduate I will be happy with myself and more confident.

Oh well that ended up being very long and whiny lol but there it is. Sort of helps writing the stuff I'm worried about out....Anyway..looking for quite a lot of advice and support and have lots of support to share!

Thanks for reading!

J

Welcome, and there is never a bad time to change your life, that is just an excuse, and won´t take the fat off your a@@. So these next 10 weeks, until your more settled just try to be resonable. Dont eat out or drinkpop, dont eat sugar or sweet things, walk when you can, take stairs....general things. No matter if you are in a tiny room, when there is a will there is a way.

Good luck girl, there is support here 24/7

J, welcome, glad to have you join us. I suggest you look for a Challenge or Support group to join; small check-in groups make it easier to connect, get involved, and be accountable. We have groups centering around specific diet plans, themes, or age groups, so find one that inspires you and just post to join! Be sure to check out the 20-somethings!
