Im new as well. I have always been overweight. But life has just threw all kinds of unpredictable things at me. And of course Food is my friend. After years of infertility, I lost 35lbs and was happy at 180. Did IVF, got preggo with twins it was great, but only made it to 19 weeks. went into pre term labor, they didnt make it. That was the start of downward cycle. Tried again got preggo with twins and only made it to 21weeks.
I ended the emotional pregancey cycle and we did a Russian adoption. It was amazing! We have a beautiful, VERY active 4.5yr son now. hes been with us about 2.5 years. But the weight keeps adding up. I got on the scale 3 weeks ago and saw 219, and have never felt so low in my life. Its depressing, my husband sees it and he doesnt care about the weight, just can see how unhappy and lost I am with my self. Im depressed, of course I would never tell him that, I dont want him to worry. He has so much on his plate. He would worry him self sick.
My plan is small at first to get that started of course calorie counting, and walking. Since summer is here and my son is out of school next week, finding time for me to get in the zone is gonna be hard. But I hope to get him walking with me, or he would love to ride his bike, but he goes a bit fast, and it scares me around stop signs where cars may not be able to see him. I joined this site for motivation, and a way to express me fears. I did the same thing when I was doing ivf. I was on IVFC.com the strength I got with those woman, i could not describe.
I have my 10yr reunion coming up, looking for a new career once my son starts school next year. Next year I'll be 30 I just want to do it right. I am my own worst enemy. I pray I
stick with it. Life is only what I make it!
