Hi! My name is Kristin and I am getting closer by the day (hopefully) to my roux en y surgery. My paperwork is going to be filed on 1/12/11 and I am scared to death I will be turned down. It is irrational actually since I hit all the criteria and then some, but well I am trying to be careful and limit my expectation. I have never belonged to any forum or anything so this is my first journey of that kind as well.
So far I like the dr I am working with...he put me on MediFast on 10/27/10 and I have lost 46 lbs so far. The holidays were kind of a bummer and I have a huge sweet tooth, but I faired pretty well just reminding myself it wasn't forever just for now.
Anyway, just saying hi to see if anyone is out there. Of course this is probably way too long for anyone to read! lol I hope everyone is as excited about 2011 as I am. I hope this really is a new beginning for me.

Have you found our Weight Loss Surgery forum yet? We have a great group over there, so be sure to check it out. Also, you might want to look at the 100 lb club, for those on their way to losing or who have lost 100 lbs or more, or the 300 plus club, for those starting at a weight of 300 pounds or more. There are also groups by age range and eating plan, so look around...we have a great Medifast forum, too!

Then jump on in and get to posting...can't wait to get to know you better!
