Default Hi!!!

Hello everyone! I signed up for this site last week and have made a few posts, but I then I saw this and thought I'd come introduce myself

3 years ago I joined Weight Watchers--finally deciding to get rid of the college 50 I gained haha. In about 7 months I lost 53 lbs. After that, I stopped going to the meetings because A) It got expensive and B) I figured now I know the plan by heart and I could do it myself. I did ok on my own. But with the exception of a few small drops here and there, I basically maintained. Which is good, it shows I can do that since I learned and got accustomed to a better way of eating. But at the same time, I still wasn't at my goal weight. Over this past holiday I gained a few more pounds than I would have liked--due to eating whatever I wanted and being lazy and not consistently going to the gym, my own damn fault! So I figured that I needed some sort of jump start diet since I think my body just got used to Weight Watchers points. I started the Dr Ian 4 day diet last Monday. So far so good! I'm down 6.8 since then--and that includes not following the food layout on Fri, Sat, Sun, but instead I just watched what I ate and got to the gym. I have a little less than 25 to go until I'm at my goal which would make about 75 lbs since starting WW 3 years ago. I think I'm gonna stick with this 4 day diet for the last 25 and then go back to watching my "points" since that did such a good job of keeping me maintained.

Now that I wrote a book you all know my story! haha Anyway, I love this site and I love that so many people are active on it and are very open with their stories. When I start to feel lacking in motivation or get hungry (hehe) I just hope on and read people's stories and I'm instantly re-motivated! So thank you to all the members here who are so helpful and supportive!

Welcome!

You're so close to your goal, so I don't want to say all the same stuff to you again... but good luck!

Thanks! I've barely started, but I'm wanting to get rid of the weight that I put on eating pizza and drinking Coca Cola in the design studio at 2am... every night of the week for 2 years... Ooops!

Looking forward to seeing you about!

Hi Red Diablo!
Wow, congrats on all your success so far - sounds like you're back on track and doing great -the support you need is here - we'll all be here to cheer you on to your goal, you're almost there!

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated and inspired - you'll be a wonderful addition to any of them. Try the 20 somethings and the weight loss support forums, they're active and very helpful - also the Success stories are a definite must for motivation.

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here since last fall, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of going off track or giving up. It has made all the difference in my success so far.

So welcome - you 've found the right place - join in by inspiring us and being inspired!

All the best - good luck with your goals,
Lee
