Default I'm New

Hi everyone! I will be starting my diet on Monday and thought if I joined the forum... I could get great support. I am a mother of 2 and it is so hard to lose weight. I for one am an emotional eater and i also struggle with fibromyalgia pain. Everytime I start a diet I lose about 10 lbs then slack off and gain half of it back. I really want to be successful this time! Looking forward to great support!

Hi and welcome! I am just restarting my journey too! Maybe we can keep in touch here and support each other. I've yo-yo'd a lot over the past 5 years, always starting, losing some, and then gaining it back.
Do you have a plan for yourself this time around?? ~rede

Welcome to 3FC! You've come to the right place! Feel free to drop in at the 100lb Club -- lots of support to be had there with people who understand how hard it is to drop a significant amount of weight. Good luck!

welcome melz! a low-carb diet is supposed to be good for people with fibromyalgia. I just started it myself ( I have rheumatoid arthritis).....it works great for people who cannot exercise due to physical limitations. I also feel better on it....I just have to stick with it this time....this board is great encouragement for that. There is a forum for people with fibro on diets here....you should check that out! good luck!

Hi Melz!
So many here can certainly relate to emotional eating - it can be such a vicious cycle, can't it? Sounds like you're ready to get started - the support you need is here - good luck with your goals!

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated, inspired and entertained! There's also info and first hand advice on different eating plans and exercise to help get through the ups and downs.

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here a few months myself, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of cheating or giving up.

So welcome - you 've found the right place - join in by inspiring us and being inspired!

All the best,
Lee
