Hi Hannahboo! So nice to meet you.
Honey, you are SO young and I think it's fabulous that you are making the effort to deal with this issue NOW. As we get older, we do get wiser.....but our metabolisms can get trickier and more difficult to deal with...so this is such a great decision you've made.
Not to repeat my whole story that I'm sure is here somewhere but when I lost all the weight I'd gained from several pregnancies years ago, I was able to keep it off for many years....so this is totally doable. I ended up on some medication several years ago which literally shut down my metabolism and had disastrous consequences for my weight....but because I'd been able to lose it in the past....I was determined I could do it again and would not give up until I figured out how to get it done. From this medication, I'd ended up about 20 lbs. more than I'd been at my highest weight in the past...at 9 months pregnant! It seemed overwhelming to me this time......but most things are doable if you are determined to succeed.
Also, I had all sons and no daughters...but I do have several nieces of high school and college age.....and know quite a bit about how much of an issue weight is for teen girls these days. So I also think it's fantastic that you are approaching this from a healthy angle....rather than resorting to some of the methods teens are using. The pressure was bad enough when I was your age but it's SOOO much more intense these days for teens...esp. girls. Many of these young gals are doing some horrible damage to their bodies which they will regret later. It's so important to do this the healthy way.
Please come back over and visit/chat whenever you'd like.

I need a few adopted daughters....or even grand-daughters (to bestow my wisdom upon

)
