Finally made it to the thrift shop and got pants / shorts / capris for vacation

Lol blue - yah no bikini this year...maybe ever & I'm ok with that thanks...I just happen to have a couple pair of size 12 pants left over from 11 years ago - 14 are falling off / must be belted - the 12s fit so for a lark, I decided to grab all 10's and when the first pair fit - a little muffin top but manageable, I was blown away
It's the first time in my adult life I've been a 10!
So ladies - I treated myself to a pair of nice, white capris - uh, so again, something I've never tried to wear...so...underclothing? Suggestions- go!
Hi Everyone!
Back from a two week cottage vacation. Fabulous weather but lots of food temptation. Luckily I was prepared with all my IP food. I did have some tough moments but I was able to steer myself away from the food I couldn't have. I even managed to make a huge birthday cake for my 12 year old son and nothing went in my mouth.
The realization that eating something off of program right now would only give me about 30 seconds of pleasure (about the time to wolf it down), and then what?
Instead, I stayed OP and I had so much energy after dinner that I still took my dogs out for a walk, played badminton with my kids and even went on a seadoo ride with my hubby.
Best of all, came back today and went right to my clinic for weigh-in and I'm down 9 lbs in the last 3 weeks. That takes me to a total loss of 52. I can't believe how well this program works. I finally feel I'm going to do this.

hysteria_625, about the capris, I've always heard you should wear tan/beige underwear with white pants because white underwear actually shows through more. Congrats on the size 10. It's an awesome feeling fitting into a size you never thought you'd fit. My husband was just saying it was strange (but in a good way) to see me wearing things that fit rather than baggy, "cover everything up" clothes. Getting rid of all that baggy stuff is so great.
As for my progress, I've made it into the 130's, just barely at 139, but I'm there. Never, ever thought I'd see a number anywhere near that on the scale again, especially when I was a few pounds away from the 230's at my heaviest weight.
19 pounds to go! Can't believe how far I've come. Good luck to everyone!

NSV. I went shopping with my DH yesterday for a dress to celebrate my 50th birthday next weekend I bought a dress two jeans and a skirt all size 8 I have no adult recolition of ever being a size 8 when I started IP I was wearing plus sizes

livinlrg Sounds like a nice vacation, they're always a challenge for sure, so much temptation that you don't have to face at home. Bravo for staying OP and even losing so much! you are really doing great!
I looked at your start date, May, and 52 lbs is amazing in such a short time. Goal in sight!!!

Jonquil You must feel so good getting so close to goal. Like Arobed said, it is definitely motivational and inspiring to those of us who still have a ways to go!!

A hot day here today, but lovely this morning. Drove over to the lake and parked the car, went for a nice long walk, nice way to start the day.
Have to do some shopping tomorrow, someone told me about a thrift store in nearby small town, I haven't been there before, hoping to find a few things, half the hangers in my closet are empty Seems like every week a few more things find their way into the give-away pile

Blue - yes, hear ya on the "hot" - luckily today is relax day - some cooking to do and might vacuum. The thrift store I went to had tons of capris and jeans - but a very limited selection of shorts or nice summer tops going to spend a few more $ today for one pair of nice shorts that actually fit (hopefully on sale by now) and 2 more nice tops

4 days - I am like the Little Engine that could lol
Only problem is I went completely scatter-brain this morning (guess I'm already on vacation) and left ALL the week's breakfast / lunch prep at home Ugh! Luckily I always keep some RTD's in the fridge so as much as I was looking forward to green chili pork, it will have to wait for tomorrow.
Ended up getting another pair of jean shorts (10's) & 2 cute tops, 50% off, & SIZE M!
Things on the scale may be slowing down a little bit, but the changes to my body in the last 8 weeks are phenomenal!

Today was my official WI day; lost 2 pounds this last week. I was stuck for several days at 182.25 and was dreading getting on the scale today, so was pleasantly surprised at that tiny 1-pound woosh. Measurements have changed only minimally, but I'm able to fit into more and more size 12 clothes. It doesn't make logical sense to me. Maybe because of all the walking I'm doing, everything is firming up??
I'm finally at the half-way mark to goal. I still really want to get to 150, especially because I think it will make running easier on my joints, but if I get down in the 160's and weight loss slows down significantly, I might have to settle for 160 as my goal weight. I guess I'll decide as I get closer. Right now I just want to see the 170's!
Tonight the husband and I are going to dinner at a friend's house - much more challenging than eating out at a restaurant! The meal will be pulled pork, black beans, rice, and tortillas. I've been asked to bring a salad, so I guess I will take a big bowl of lettuce and assorted allowable veggies, and a some bottled salad dressing. I'll take my WF dressing, so I can have salad and pork.
ETA: I opted to take cole slaw. Made a big dish of it for everyone else, with my favorite Marzetti's dressing. I have my own small bowl with disgusting WF dressing. LOL.

3 choices, hysteria.... granny panties, properly fitting thong (not too small) or commando & a pantiliner. The first two must be beige!
LOL, congrats! I never buy white pants or capris anymore because I always sit in something on the first wearing. I have wrecked several pairs over the years. Pale khaki or tan, light turquoise, even cream coloured with pale cabbage roses as a print, but never white again... although I do have white board shorts that come out awesome and bright every time. Just never anything with cotton like a denim fabric.

Liana...the mere thought of commando is I try not too care too much what others think but yah...have seen the obvious thong through white slacks before (on others) - not my business obviously but hard to miss ....
