Oh boy!!! Everyone has been here reporting progress on the Summer 2014 Starters' thread since my last posting - congrats to all for losses, and for re-commitments needed to deal with life's little bumps in the road!
Thanks for checking in, Ro22! You have done so well thus far -- I am sure we all want to support you going forward, whatever adjustments you need to make for sound medical reasons. JJTx - I had to go check out your diary on MFP - I see that you have many fewer restricted than I do, and fewer of the former restricted (like Oatmeal and Pancakes).... I wonder if that would spur my losses? Your new coach seems to have you on a really good path these days. CenTXChk - you are continuing to rock! DD -- welcome back to a straighter narrow path- Keep the faith -- I know that you know this program works when you work it. Sue!!!! - Thru your journey to One-derland I am reliving my own - I seemed to lurk just above the 199 mark on the scale (it was before ARIA and I was just watching that little needle). Be patient - you will get there - you are being too OP not to!!!! The Body Fat % and BMI readings are done with ARIA along with the scale reading to the tenth of a pound. And it links up with MFP through the Fitbit software. I think a lot of us are finding this to be a valuable capability to support ongoing maintenance as well as finishing our weight loss journey. Loser58 - I know what you mean about those tempting foods that we have been avoiding while on IP. I am a food lover, and those temptations create fear. But...DH and I stopped at Cracker Barrel for dinner on the drive home from SC -- we used to always stop there for the Smokehouse Breakfast that includes eggs, grits or hashbrowns, bacon or sausage, biscuits or pancakes/syrup, and sawmill gravy and always their apple butter..... I have always loved that country breakfast, and in the old days, both DH and I would clean our plates -- nothing left behind. We talked about those times from the past..... and he ordered something close to the Smokehouse breakfast, but I had steak, steamed broccoli and house salad and made my own vinegar and Splenda dressing. As much as I loved the high calorie, high carb, high fat meal in the past, I feel pretty confident that I can avoid doing it in the future as a member of the 'clean plate club.' I may share one of those with DH to have tastes, but I hope I can train myself to taste and keep portions under control, and to make these kind of meals occasional rather than frequent and regular fare. It is the challenge to be me if there is to be a real lifestyle change. I am sure I did not comment on everyone here - I am so late getting here to 3FC today -- it was a very late arrival home (close to 3AM) last night, so I am kind of hurrying here so we can start up the new April thread -- I will get to it. Sounds like we have interest in Body Fat %, Activity -- could be steps or walks or time on the treadmill or yoga (or dancing for me!)... anything that's movement. Shall we all share those stats in April? And for those interested, we can post our water intake, too. |
