My thoughts are with you and you husband Sue, and fingers crossed for the best diagnosis possible.

Sue - Anything I want to say seems inadequate so just know we are here as a support mechanism, and you have the collective wishes and prayers of this group. Hopefully, it is primary and you caught it early and you can reschedule your trip after treatment. Stay strong.

Oh Sue, thinking of you and your husband. How brave to get such news and come home and not binge. Hoping for the best possible outcome of the next round of tests.

Sgrealtor1, I will definitely be praying for you and your husband. Good for you staying strong and focused on IP. It is ok to allow yourself to feel your emotions instead of turning to food (this is something that I have had to work at). Stay strong and we are all here for support.
Ted Sheckler, congrats on being overweight ;). I remember that this was a HUGE milestone for me and it felt wonderful!!!!!!!!!!! So soak it in! You've worked hard to get there. Ariel13, 100lbs! You rock! Congrats. I bet you feel like a whole new person! |
Thank you all so much! Your all awsome and I really appreciate the support...
:carrot::carrot::carrot: WI today down 4.5 :carrot::carrot: Heck Ya! I needed that! |
Sue,
Prayers coming your way. Amazing that you have been able to stick to plan through all the uncertainty - and very glad it paid off today. |

Back home and at work today. My dad emailed and said my mom is having a good day so far. Was feeling guilty that I left but he said it was a good decision. Unless something takes a turn, I don’t head back until Fri. My mom’s birthday is Sun…my dad thinks she is waiting for that. My WI on Sat was a lowly 0.4lbs. Hadn’t been on a scale since Sat and have been 100% OP so I was expecting to see a change this morning at home…nothing. I slacked off my water the last 3-4 days so I am making the extra effort to get it all in this week (and measure my food better for an exact 2 cups). No diet fatigue at the moment but I sure can see it setting back in with a couple not great WI. I am desperate to hit 100lbs and it is eluding me… On my way home from my folks yesterday, I swung past where my DH, DD and her friend were camping. Couldn’t get over the total junk food they had bought. There was nothing I could eat and nothing they should be eating. Did we always do that? I like to think we packed healthier than that but am thinking not really. No wonder I was so overweight. Just hope they don’t bring it back into the house. I can ignore most items but even I have my limits. |

I am resisting the mini-twix that someone left in our snack area. :dizzy: |

When my husband was diagnosed with gastric & esophageal cancer (EC), I found a discussion forum much like 3FC that was totally focused on that type of cancer. Cancer patients and caregivers use it as a good way to find information from others who are dealing with the same problems, just like we IPeeps do regarding our Ideal Protein journeys. The main site is called ACOR - the Association of Cancer Resources. It's a non-profit thing - the discussion groups for 140+ varieties of cancer are made up of and managed by volunteers. The EC group on ACOR was my lifeline as my husband and I dealt with diagnosis, treatment, surgery, and all the different aspects of his cancer journey. So I hope that you will be able to find a group there that is pertinent to your husband's situation and might be a helpful support to you as the site was for me. |

I heard there were some great sky displays of lights visible from British Columbia in the last day or two - something associated with some storm? I thought of you immediately, Liana -- Didja see anything? Catch any photos? |

Got a couple of tshirts too, also medium. I have no frame of reference for this but I'll take it! |
