Well I just left obese behind and became just plain overweight. My BMI has left the obese range and now I am just plain fat. When I started in August I was Obese class II (or comically obese as I call it), went from that to obese class I and am now transitioning through overweight for my final 30 Lbs.
All credit for that progress goes to the IP system! |

Hi Summer Starters!
Sounds like I was not the only one having a tough week last week. My long awaited mini-vacation was derailed by a family emergency. But like others have reported, my first response a year ago would have been to eat comfort foods, but I did not. Just let myself feel the feelings, and when I felt overwhelmed, went for a walk. (I did a lot of walking - some days doubling my 10K goal on the fitbit!) Sending good thoughts to Sue, CenTXChk and others who are struggling. And congrats to Ariel13! What an accomplishment to hit 100! For the last week, I did a mix of P1 and P2 days. The days that all my meals were in restaurants, it was easier to do P2. When I had access to a kitchen, I did P1. I will see what tomorrow's WI shows before I decide whether to move to P2 for real. At this point, I would like to lose a bit more before I go to P3, so I may do an extended P2. Hang in there, everyone. |
Good Morning everyone..
Ted - Way to go! :carrot: One - I gave up cigarettes 20 years ago and replace that habit with M & M's :( Glad that I have now kicked both to the curb! Not good news last night for DH at the Dr. On to more tests. It is cancer in the ribs. Now they need to see if that is the secondary site or primary. We are hoping for primary and then its radiation. If its a secondary site, not sure where we stand. Meeting the Oncologist hopefully soon as we just got the name last night from primary dr. Colonoscopy and Endoscopy on Saturday to see if those are clear. Of course my trip to Vegas will be cancelled. So much to deal with....I came home from the Dr's apt last night calmly made a cup of tea...drank it and then took a tylenol PM and went to bed. Thanks everyone for listening..... WI today at 10:30. I feel like I had a good back to basics week so hopefully the scale will feel the same way! |

Hopefully it will be something easily-treatable. Cancer sucks! Fingers crossed for a great WI today, you're a rock star for sticking to plan through all of this!! |
