Jenny; I bet you are a few sizes smaller than last year, just like Slip! Don't panic. We have to live our life and sometimes that means a few indulges with food. We have the tools and you are a runner. And I bet your indulgences are not comparable to what they used to be. I know mine aren't!
Good for you Slip! I love coffee mugs. For some reason it makes the coffee taste better in a nice mug! hee hee
Hawaii, good advice, we do have to live our lives. Seeing a definite connection between TOM and sugar for me. Something to gather data on in the new year.
The scale gave me a happy gift today, back down in the lower part of my range. Don't know how, but I will take it.
Yeah, I totally notice the TOM connection. I just deal 'less well' with stress (understatement here) and seriously crave cheese and crunchy salty GF crackers, chips, or pretzels.
Thinking about yesterday.... Wine & chocolate cream cheese were added later. I just felt seriously snarly & rebellious. And one week before period - it seems I spend 25% of my life out of sorts - JUST SUX.
I'm so glad the scale is giving you good news, Slip! You deserve it as you have had a stressful few months with the new class. Maybe that's why you're down - you are able to relax more now on shutdown.
Hope that you had a wonderful holiday. Couple of fun days equals a couple of clean days this coming weekend. Not looking forward to facing the scale tomorrow, but I did enjoy it .
Looking forward to a pajama day tomorrow. Pretty tired from so much fun.
Hey Slip; Glad you had a good clean eating day. The scale always reflects that and a person just feels better. I've had a few indulgences but am watching my calories and getting my water in. I"ve had a good exercise week. I'm still in my range but would like to see about 3 or so lbs go but not panicking. I'm sure its water weight. I hope that everyone is well. Have a great day!
I am mid range today too. I know that I have a number of social engagements before Jan 5 th, so as long as I am in my range (even at the top) I will be happy.
Jan 5th usually brings a slide into winter here. It was the easiest time last year on Phase 1 because the social whirl hit a complete standstill.
Thinking of all the other Newbies and hoping that their feeling happy and bright!
Good day friends! What a week it has been. Hope everyone had a great Christmas. I know I did and now it is time to get back OP in a big way. Not happy with myself, eating wise, but I know I need to pick myself up, dust myself off and start over TODAY! I know I can get the holiday weight off again, I just need to be disciplined.
Great job to all who struggled but didn't fall off the wagon this week, I admire your determination. Not an easy eating week that is for sure.

Slipfree - you are always so kind to remember those who still struggle, whether they be 'newbies' or repeat newbies! My week has gone very well and very bright after a week of h--l. Lost my way baking too many sweets for the crews on our house and I went off the deep end. I am back on it and looking for a really big loss this week (after gaining 7 at the weigh in).
Schenectady, it is a struggle every other day for me lately, lol. The key is- fall down, keep getting up and trying. It is never over!!!! Ruth Ann says maintenance is losing 5 pounds over and over again. So true
Schenetady; I agree with Slip! We all just keep trying to get up. And coming to this board helps! And I'm definitely losing those 5 or so lbs all the time it seems but I keep trying and that's maintenance for me!
Maintenance is a teeter-totter with the same 5 lbs - but I think that's normal. We can't stay the exact same weight at all moments in the week - we are living organisms that have so many factors affecting that measurement.
At least it's the kiddie teeter-totter and not that huge scary one that puts you waaay up into the air!
Jenny, I am having a traditional southern NYE here at my house. Nothing light about it. Long story, but my SIL made almost my exact NYE menu for Christmas Day, so I had to change from Beef tenderloin to ham. My family is very foodie and their expectations are high. Then on Sat., we are having a girl's dinner at Zinc. Both occasions, I would be looking forward to, if I was not worried about the scale.
