WI day today, down a couple of pounds but still up 6 from my lowest. I will do another week of strict p2, and see where I am at next week. I am still feeling bloated, and yucky. Not sure if that is from the extra weight or TOM, hopefully things get back to normal soon.

Hope everyone is having a good op day.

Slip, Jenny and Want2B; sounds like you are doing well. I was down just over 2lbs today and know it will drop some more if I continue with the good eating.

We didn't make it to the gym last night because a friend called that needed some help so was disappointed we missed but sometimes these things hapen. But, am determined to jump on the treadmill today and continue eating clean. I had a chefs salad for lunch, haven't had one of those for a long time. It was very tasty. Have a great day!!

Hi all,

Is this week over yet? 1 day of work left. I'm really looking forward to having a full day off on Friday. I still have my GC for Nordstrom to spend so I think I'll head there after my weigh in to see if I can find some casual boots. A pair of those cute patterned leggings everyone is wearing these days would be fun too. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand probably a sweater to go with :P

It's good to see you're all on track to getting those up pounds off. Are you guys trying to get a little lower number on the scale in preparation for the holidays? Only 2 more weeks to go!

S.

Good morning ladies;

Well, eating was okay yesterday. I had a Mexican salad for supper, but prob ate too many tortilla chips as am bloated this morning, could be the beans too. So, will get my water in today and stay away from salt. But, it hasn't been a bad week food wise. I wanted to run yesterday but decided to take the day off and will plan to exercise everyday from now to Tuesday. It seems to work out that way. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are more challenging to try and exercise although my hubby and I try to go to the gym on Tuesdays but it hasn't worked out the last couple of weeks. We will have to look at picking another day or something. But, we keep trying.

Slip; good for you in getting those up lbs off.

Steph:Have fun shopping for clothes!

Oh a trip to Nordstrom's sounds wonderful! I have a long way to go but will hit "Nordies" as soon as I am out of the 2's! Have fun!

Hawaii: sometimes life throws curve balls, too bad about the gym anyway. Sounds like you have a good plan now.

Slip: Glad the scale is going down. Our friend is hanging in there a long rode to recovery, they are giving him 6 months of rehab and pt to try to get his left arm and leg working again.

Steph: Good luck shopping. I am trying to get the up pounds off from my trip to the Bahamas and if a little extra comes off I will take it. Lol.

The scale had a whoosh this morning which was odd since WI day was yesterday, not sure why it would be down 2.8lbs overnight. Not getting my hopes up it will stay that way but it was a nice start to my day. Lol.

Hi ya'll,

Down another pound this morning, now in the lower part of my range.

Steph, not trying for lower, I just do not want to exceed my range over the holiday week. Have parties, next Fri, Sat and then Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. A shopping day sounds like a great fun Friday! Can not wait to hear what you bought.

Hawaii, tortilla chips are another think that I do not have in the house. Too easy for me to go overboard. Hope you are able to get your exercise in, I know how much it helps you.

Hi October Newbies;

Well, its been a pretty good week, I am in pms mode so the 'monthly gain' from that is here and I'm trying to remember that. For some reason I get annoyed with it every month even though I know its gonna happen! I was happy to get my run in yesterday although it was a hard one but it always is at this time of the month for some reason. I smiled at your comment about the tortilla chips Slip as I was thinking the same thing. If they are in my cupboard, I just can't have them. It never works with the 'I'll just have one' way of thinking. And I crave salt at this time of the month so that certainly doesn't help.

Want2B; Take the whoosh! Sometimes the body does crazy things as far as the scale. I had the same kind of thing happen this week. I got on the scale expecting a certain number and it was 2lbs less! I was happy, it wouldn't say that number for no reason! Of course, the scale is always up and down but love it when its down!

Slip; So happy for you in getting those up lbs off! You rock!

Hi everyone,
It has been a pretty good week. Am due for my first weigh-in next Thursday as I only go every other week. I am feeling better than the second thru fourth days and my energy level is coming back. I was told no exercise for a couple of weeks.. that is a bummer because I had to skip my boxing class.. so great for frustration relief! Here's to a great week end.

Sooo ladies, today was fantastic. Had another great weigh in followed by lunch with the hubby and shopping at Nordstrom with friends. The shopping was more than successful - blew the budget. I bought casual Steve Madden boots, a cute sweater, funky leggings, a bulkier sweater/jacket, and two infinity scarves. We also went to Anthropologie which just caused a big case of the "I wants". Fell in love with a hat - $108. I looove hats but never have anything to wear with them. It's a good thing in this case.

Got some crummy news this morning regarding the death of a family member and old neighbor and also some bad news about the health of my friend's mother. What the heck is going on lately? Trying to stay positive here...

Happy weekend everyone!

Hey all,

Good luck with you WI, Snickbean. The first WI is exciting. Most of us are in maintenance now, but we all were all IP phase 1 last holiday season.

Steph, your day off sounds great! So sorry that you had bad news when you got home. You are right, it seems like a trend in the bad news category. Makes me more determined to appreciate the people in my lives this season.

Want2b, happy for your whoosh!

Hawaii, I am in pms mode too. Resisted buying maple fudge today.

Sitting by the fire tonight. Worn out and chilly. TGIF!!!!

Thanks for your kind thoughts Slip and Jenny We also got some more unfortunate news later in the day regarding financial stuff but I won't even get into it because it upsets me so much. We have our health, a roof over our heads, and food on the table.

I worked out to my favorite yoga video tonight. I think my Mom gave it to me when I was 15 or 16 years old. It felt good to do it but I might be in a world of pain tomorrow. It might be smart to diversify my workouts. Running is great but isn't doing anything for my flexibility!

Good job passing on the fudge Slipfree. Maple fudge is my fave!

Jenny-Sounds like your hubby is a keeper! My husband tried steaming cucumbers once. It was gross!

Good morning all;

Snickbean; Hi and welcome! This sight will be helpful in your journey as it has helped me as a support system. I started IP in Nov of last year and hit maintenance in March. What helps me the most is to start my day reading the different boards as we can all relate in some way in weight loss, no matter how much we need to lose.

Steph; Sorry for the bad news you have received lately and the financial stuff. That is really stressful to deal with. Exercise does help to deal with it. I agree that a person should do more than just run. I try and do weights twice a week and the 30 day shred with Jillian Michaels to mix things up and of course zumba. Things will get better. As a friend said to me once, 'this too shall pass'.

Slip; Sitting by the fire sounds so nice. And saying no to fudge is a NSV for you!

Jenny; How nice to have a hubby that cooks! And glad that things continue to go well for you on the scale.

Have a great day everyone!
