Congrats to everyone on their progress!

That is AWESOME for Phase 3!!! :carrot: I don't think I lost at ALL in that phase!! Super job!!!

Should I be alarmed that when I step on my scale (i know i shouldn't but i need to see the progress - that it's working) that I have not lost anything? Day 4 - seems a bit strange.. I'm going to try more water. I just don't know what is up this time. My first time, I lost 8lbs the first week and it was so exciting.. Perhaps my body isn't yet in ketosis. Regardless, I'm staying focused and OP. :sunny:

Hey KareVT!! Read on the daily that you lost 2.6!!! :carrot: WOOHOO!! Welcome back!! You're starting at my GOAL weight!! Haha!! Can't wait to see that number again on MY scale!!!;)

Best wishes all!!! 💗

Hi Stephascope - Congrats on your awesome drop. Such a fantastic feeling and great to hear that we can lose on Phase 3, as well. Congrats to you and may your success continue as well as carry you through to maintenance and beyond.. :sunny:

Disgal - you're so cute, thanks for the recognition on my loss. At this point, I'll take anything I can get but I won't lie, if I see a bigger loss next wk post period, I'll be an extra smiley gal, for sure :D

Checking out your stats and they are marvelous, you should be SO super proud of yourself, girl!!! Before you know it, you will be at goal; no doubt about it:flow1: And so realistic too. Kudos! I'll be here cheering you along the way. Your focus is inspiring!!! Thanks again deary and talk soon.

Thanks disgal and KareVT. Just to clarify - I reached goal in April and put on 20 or so lbs since then. I'm doing Phase 3 for a reboot as recommended by my coach. So far, so good but I'll be working my way backward through the phases if the losses start to slow down.

It's snowing here in Calgary this afternoon. Blech! I'm glad I got my run in before it started.

So motivated ladies, and weird but the permission to have a little wine on Saturdays and cheese eliminates the dull drums of the diet and keeps me going week after week. So psyched to lose 2.4 this week. I plan to stay on what I am doing until December 15th and then phasing off for 3 weeks. Hope to be down another 12-15 by then. Then another round after the New Year. So glad I have so pals to do this with.

Thrilled for you, that's so excellent that this works for you and sounds very realistic for setting yourself up with continued success!! I'll have to ask you to remind me of this once I am ready to incorporate a glass of vino and yes, cheese, as well (how I miss cheese)... For now, I'm going to hold off as long as I can just because I haven't yet had the urge but, I know I will want it soon enough.. Love this! :hat:

Hey Steph - thanks for the clarification.. I wasn't up to date on your journey. That is very interesting that your coach suggested to start on Phase 3 for your reboot. Very cool. Sounds like that has brought you some nice success. May that continue! And, sounds like a good plan to go backwards in Phase(s) if you begin to stall - keep up the focus & determination and you will be back down to your goal in no time. You've already proven you can do it. And, kudos for jumping back into it so quickly! Sometimes we just need a mini break before a reboot. Btw, we're reboot sisters! LOL :D

Checking in... To all those who post with their stories helps me remain motivated. I am not alone, nor is my story unique. But, I really appreciate seeing/reading your journeys.

My scale is creeping downward :carrot:. And, this take a daily recommitment to my goal. I realized after looking at my weight loss details from 2013 that when I hit my goal weight in the 150's, I didn't actually remain there for very long. But I was able to maintain in the low 160's. So, I am going to be real with myself and set 160 as my goal weight. My challenge is more emotional with the number. In my earlier years that would be so high for me. Guess I have to get over it.

My goal this week is to get a food plan together so I am not guessing everyday what I will eat. Stay strong everyone!

I love this thread :) Maybe we should start a Rebooters thread. I feel a bit sad seeing the "Gaining it all Back" frowny face title! lol

I'm feeling great! I feel the difference in my clothes and look better already only after 2 weeks. So glad I'm doing this with you ladies. :D

Not sure if you saw my whole story anywhere, but I lost the original weight 9/2010 to 2/2011 (80 pounds, gained 5 through phase off and maintained within 10 of goal for 3.5 years). Then due to personal stress, just stopped focusing the last 10 months and gained a total of 39 pounds. At that point still down 40. I have a ton of experience with phase 1 at this point because I did it constantly for those 3.5 years where I maintained. I know that this is lifelong and that I have to be careful of 100% on because the opposite is 100% off and that is not good mindset either. I try not to think of the last 10 months as failure because it was a major learning experience for me and I made a video to remind myself not to do this again. I am on this IP lifestyle forever. I am starting my 63rd month on the IP life this month.

I agree, nice to have the clothes feeling better and had some family events (bday parties and Halloween) and I didn't hate what I saw in the pictures.

Time to reboot!! I got as far as 159.5 and am up to 166. I am so mad at myself. When I was sticking to the diet I thought that I have this and that I wouldn't ever go back to eating the way I did. Well... I was so wrong. After slipping a bit and then just relaxing and letting go I went right back to my old habits. Oh and I hadn't hit my goal yet. I just got lazy. So here I am up 7 lbs and I want to get it off and hit my goal of 150 before Christmas. So today is my first day back on plan. I am actually going to read my Beck's Diet Solution book and do the exercises in it instead of just glancing at it once in awhile. Also going to get my veggies ready and make a meal plan. So here I go!

Love this thread! Glad to see I'm not the only one!

I know how you feel. In the last few years I have lost significant amounts of weight only to gain it back plus some. First time I was 290 and got down to 270 before falling off. I then crawled all the way to 330 and got to 290 before falling off. I decided to weigh myself today and I'm nearly 350.

This is hard.

Hi Darbs - thanks for revisiting your story and sharing.. I'm sorry that I didn't catch this earlier. That's amazing that you maintained for 3.5 years. And, I totally hear you on gaining due to personal stress.. Stress is what derails me every time and sometimes the battle is too difficult depending on what is happening in one's life.. I know this all too well and the focus isn't completely there. I'm happy to hear that you have chosen to forgive yourself and not blame yourself for what went on in your life within the past 10 months - it is SO important that we remain good to ourselves. It's great to look at these times as learning experiences and I believe you did just that. It's pretty cool that you made a video to remind yourself. Hats off to you and deep gratitude for sharing your story.

This thread soothes my soul hearing such familiar stories. We all are back OP to get on track. That is the most important part of this to regain control of our eating and get back where we feel good.

Everyday in some way is a challenge, I keep my goal in mind and visiting this thread helps me.

Hi All
rb
I have been struggling with this for the last 3 years. I lost over 22lbs the first time on IP and then i gained some of it back. I dropped another 13 lbs but gained it all back and then some. I feel like every time i gain it all back and then some. I feel like my body is more and more sensitive to carbs and sugars more so than before. Also I am not sure if this diet gets less effective the more times you try it. I feel like it takes me longer and longer to loose the same amount of weight. The first time around I lost 22 lbs in 4 months the third time I lost 13 lbs in 5 months.
I am not sure If I should make another attempt at it

bolt 11-04-2014 10:47 PM

I am on a reboot also. The first time I lost 30 pounds in 14 weeks. This time I have lost 21 pounds in 11 weeks. I have 9 pounds to go. Hope to be phasing off in the next 6-8 weeks. I have had a few slip ups along the way but have stayed pretty much on plan. I find myself drinking lots of herbal tea.

Very happy but hoping not to let myself gain this much weight back again
