I am heading off for Disney the end of the week and I really am planning on staying on program. I have my ziplock packed with my packets for the week. If I can manage to stay 90% on plan I will be thrilled...Good for you! :)

I can hardly believe it myself. I came home with a pretty bad head cold and was taking cold medicine. I wonder if that helped get some of the fluid out...

GL at Disney! Have you talked to your coach about your plan there? That is going to be a lot of walking. So proud of you for vacationing OP!! Good thing about Disney is you can bring a backpack and throw in your own food and water (at least the last time we were there you could :) ).

Can't wait to hear your update what you get back. Have a great trip!

canadjineh 08-12-2014 02:28 PM

Don't forget, sgrealtor1, there is a thread on doing Disneyland IP. I will see if I can bump it up for you (and for others going on trips - so they can stay 100%!!) :D

Just sayin Hey and good luck to those that have wi yet this week! :) Have a great day!

Sgrealtor1 08-14-2014 11:38 AM

Made my mini goal today! :carrot:

So happy to be heading off into vacation on a high note. I am a bit afraid that there will be no scale in the hotel room to keep tabs on myself....may find the hotel gym and wi there so I can judge how I am doing....

Took a week off IP for a long planned vacation with family and friends. Got back home last Wed and wasn't going to weigh myself but broke down mid-day Thurs. Up 7.5lbs. Yikes!! But hit it hard since Thurs and by WI today I am only up .4. Coach said I would gain mostly water weight and she wasn't kidding. I have been peeing my brains out.

Coach is telling me now through the end of the year will fly by. Sure hope so. That should put me at half way but I'm in it for the long haul.

So proud of all of you and the weight you've all lost. Am a little bummed my trip has put me behind everyone but its not a race, right?

I just got back from vacation too. I had totally planned on staying OP but I did not. I was food sick all the time. Have had a tummy ache for a week. I happy to be back at work and back to my routine but I am so darn made at myself. The scale is up 5 lbs today. I sure hope some of it IS water weight but I am terribly disappointed in myself.

Hi my name is Angela and i am a food addict.

I'm sure some of it is water weight. Just start over today! In a few months this setback will just be a blip on your weightloss journey.

Bull, I hope your WI goes well!

kissi 08-15-2014 03:21 PM

WI Today and 2.2 lbs down. It's been a little over 2 months since I've started and my total weight loss to date is 26.4 lbs. I'm so very close to my halfway mark (28.5). I'm hoping I hit goal (135) sometime in November. Just in time to be able to maintain through the holidays. New Year's Resolution will be to maintain and KEEP THE WEIGHT OFF!!!

YAY! Way to GO! :carrot:

kissi 08-15-2014 03:49 PM

nat, you are right on track for your minigoals! I was hoping to hit 160 by September 1st, but I will settle with making my halfway mark by then. I'm just following the plan 100% and letting the scale do what it does. I'd be ecstatic to hit the 160 mini goal I set for myself, but it's gonna be tight. I'd have to lose almost 3 lbs each week for the next two weeks to hit it. It's possible but I'm not going to get bent out of shape if I don't do it.

I thought that my first mini goal was going to be tight two weeks ago (because I had two weeks to do it and 7 pounds to lose. I had been losing 2-3 pounds a week for a few weeks) but then my last weigh in put me at 6 pounds down and 1 pound away from that goal. Weighing myself at home today (my official WI is Monday), I know I beat it. YAY!

Looking at your "historical" (haha) weigh ins, it seems like every 3rd week you lose big. This is your third week and I think it will bring you closer than you think you will be. My prediction is that you will hit it! I love your attitude though...the halfway mark is a BIG DEAL so no matter what happens you should be proud of yourself! I can't wait until I get to my halfway goal, it is such an important milestone! :carrot:

Congrats all. Had a very busy weekend and didn't get a chance to log on here. Had my wi today and it was -4.2. I was sooo happy. Today I decided I was going to treat myself to a new shirt (clearance rack) at dress barn. So I'm on the side I've always shopped and finally a gal comes up to me asking what I'm looking for. I said well I've recently lost some weight and treating myself to a new shirt. I asked where extra large is at. Not 100% sure that it would fit. She said. That's on the other side of the store. I was super excited. I've never shopped over here in this store before :). Ended up buying 2 shirts. They were 50% off. Woooottt. Today in a long time I feel so happy!!! Such a confidence booster.

How many of us June starters do we have left?

Kissi, good luck today!

Sgrealtor1 08-22-2014 07:57 AM

I'm a June starter still here! On vacation in Disney this week so no WI. Retaining lots of water and having to eat more packets per day due to the heat and walking.....we will see what the scale has to say about that next Thursday...

Thanks! I am leaving on Monday and so far have not strayed off at all.....of course I can't "really" control the resturant foods 100% but I am doing the best I can in the situation. Veggie selection has been hard, last night we did habachi so I finally has some mushrooms and zucchini. Most resturants have plain steamed broccoli or green beans.....ugh I am so of no variety. Actually missing cooking lol. ( can't believe I said that).

:)

LOL, I have a hard time eating out close to home. I can't imagine doing it for a week on vacation. Almost there!

kissi 08-22-2014 10:41 AM

Hello June Starters!!

I had my WI this morning and down 2.6 lbs. Puts me at 29 lbs total lost and I have 28 to go to my goal weight. I hit my halfway point today. I'm only 3 lbs away from my 160 by September 1st goal. If I hit it, it will be close, if not, I know I have accomplished a lot this far and I still have more to go.

I try to refrain from eating out at all. It's so hard to control it in my opinion and I know exactly what I put in my food that I cook at home. Kudos to you, realtor for sticking through it and I'm glad you got some variety. Zucchini and Mushrooms are a STAPLE in my fridge every week. Those and cauliflower.

Nat, you are doing awesome. I like chatting with the people that started this journey around the same time that I did. It's very encouraging to see that so many are sticking with it! :)

If you don't hit your 160 mini goal, I think you will be ridiculously close! You are rocking this! :carrot:

Thanks...I have been really focused on being 100% OP! Losing 140 pounds just seemed like a HUGE impossible task when I first started! But I'm 41 pounds down now and it wasn't too terribly painful to get this far so I know this is NOT impossible! I just focus on my next immediate goal.

It is so motivating to me to see other people that started at the same time as me having success also! It is a journey for sure! :)

Sgrealtor1 08-23-2014 06:58 AM

Nat1015 - I have a lot to lose too and. I also find mini goals work so much better for me then chipping away at that huge number.

3 more days of vacation and then back to my routine. I have a wedding in California next up. That one is going to be so much harder as we will be in a hotel without a kitchen! Ugh I just can't even think about it now...

Made this smoothie this morning-surprisingly good!

Mix in a blender:
1 pre-made IP vanilla drink
2 tsp green tea powder (matcha green tea)
1 tbs WF caramel syrup
Lots of ice

I buy it at my local natural foods store. My guess us that you can get it at Whole Foods.

Good morning all. Just wanted to say hello and give you all a hug. You're all doing so great. :). Have a wonderful day.

sdhinds 09-17-2014 02:30 PM

Is everyone still here and doing well? You're a quiet bunch. Nothing wrong with that. I am a quiet person as well. :) Just wanted to reach out and see if I was the only one hanging on here from June.

kissi 09-17-2014 02:40 PM

I'm still here and over 30 lbs lighter. :carrot:

Doing well still, too. My coach is out of the office this week so it will be my first week since I started without a WI. I'll have a 2 week WI next week, I guess.

sdhinds 09-17-2014 02:46 PM

Yeah CONGRATS!!!! Always a great feeling shedding the pounds! :) I have been busy working concession stands at the Iowa football games. That has been a challenge. So far I have sneaked in some products. We are so busy though that my water consumption is pretty much one small bottle of water in 12 hours! :( I have a couple weekends off (away games) so I am glad about that. Then I have just two more home games to work. How has the games been for you? How's the boy doing in football?

kissi 09-17-2014 02:51 PM

I went to my first game this past weekend. I shoved a Quest Bar in my bra and my brother's skinny girlfriend put a bag of Quest Chips in her oversized jersey. I honestly drank like 10 bottles of Dasani Water at that game at 3.50 or $4 a pop. It was so hot down here (upper 90s) and in the middle of the day.

My bro is doing well in football. We have a big game this weekend against LSU and I'll be shoving another Quest Bar in my bra. I'm grilling some Turkey Patties that morning so I can put them in a Ziploc and eat them while walking around the tailgates.

I'm sorry you can't get more water in. I know that the concessions are a madhouse at these big games!

sdhinds 09-17-2014 03:00 PM

You just made me choke on my water just now. I am laughing. Love the bra stuffing..I will have to remember that. I am looking forward to it being cooler though so I can wear a coat in and hide stuff. (they do tend to pat down though) Our next game is at 11am. So I will get there at 6am and be home around 6/7pm. Lately, it's been 2:30 games and starting off at 8am and not getting home till 10pm. UGH. I pray we don't ever have a 7pm game! LOL. I am on our HS juniors post prom committee so working the stands is what pays for post prom. Great fund raiser--except those coming in extra early (like me) in counting all the inventory and cleaning. Same goes for after the game. (Reason why I am there for so long) NEVER AGAIN! lol Ouch for LSU. We have played them a few times for bowl games. Not a fan HA. Good luck to you!!!

kissi 09-17-2014 03:55 PM

Well, serious props on staying OP when your schedule isn't making it easy!!! It's nice to check back in with the people that started around the same time that we did and see how they are doing.

Tom in RI 09-30-2014 07:20 AM

June starter checking in. I've been on maintenance now for a bit. Historically I've been able to lose weight more easily in the warmer months. November through April have generally been not good for me, especially Thanksgiving through New Year's Day. Its probably been 10 years since I weighed less than 190 so I am starting the difficult period in a good place.

It is so easy to become lulled into complacency. For me, I need to weigh myself every day to stay aware. I know I can be doing a better job with my diet but my weight has varied from 183 to 187 and I have pretty much been satisfied with that. One thing that has been helpful for me is to occasionally do an intermittent fast, which I first read about here.

I've managed to successfully avoid any practical exercise regimen. Maybe I'll get that squared away this fall. Then maybe I'll get back down to the goal weight.

kissi 09-30-2014 10:52 AM

Tom, I know in Maintenance I'm going to have to become a daily weigher. Congratulations on making it to maintenance. I have 20 more lbs to go and I'm hoping to get into maintenance by the end of the year and use my new year's resolution to maintain my goal weight.

napagirl 10-04-2014 01:32 PM

Has anyone tried the IP Apple Oatmeal? It's new at my clinic-great in zucchini muffins and it's non-restricted!

Proud Mom 10-09-2014 04:07 PM

I started in June and am still here. Down 42 lbs! Getting ready to phase to maintenance. I am so comfortable on the IP program, I'm a bit nervous. Love the results. Hope to keep off the weight. Plan on sticking with 3FC! Keep up the good work everyone.

This is great!!! Keep it up!!! I'm nervous about maintenance as well and just keeping off the weight.

I'm close to 42 lbs lost. I'm at 41 with my WI tomorrow. My home scale has been kind so if my clinic scale shows the same I should be at 44 lbs lost tomorrow!! I love this diet. It's so easy once you get into the routine. Today is a REALLY HUNGRY day for me so I ate my afternoon snack earlier and I have Mexican Night planned tonight so I'm excited about that.

Proud Mom 10-09-2014 09:39 PM

Congrats Kissi. I had a few of those really hungry days and my coach reminded me about those free veggies like lettuce, celery and cukes. Not bad for holding me over. Mexican sounds awesome. What do you cook? I am pretty boring...love routine. I think that's one reason IP works for me.
