I like routines as well. Once I get in them, I am SET! Which I why I love this diet so much. It takes out a lot of the 'guess work' and doesn't overwhelm me with options.

I make tortillas out of cauliflower. I follow this recipe here but just use 4 egg whites. http://slimpalate.com/cauliflower-to...e-gluten-free/

I put some chicken breast in the slow cooker in the morning with some homemade taco seasoning (cuts out the extra sugar added to the packaged ones you buy at the store). I also give myself my 1 oz of dairy allotment when I have Mexican Night. I just add a dabble of light sour cream and it really helps me keep going. I only do Mexican Night like once a month though.

Have a great weekend all! :)

Kissi. Sounds delish! Thanks.

Mexican night....yummy!!

This morning was the first day that I really saw my weight loss in the mirror. Scale doesn't look like it's moved much this week but I think I've lost inches. 45lbs total lost on my home scale!! I can't remember the last time I was at this weight.

Having fun playing in my closet. Someone from work promised to bring me a bunch of size 16s. Something to work towards

Doesn't seem that long ago since we all started. Can you believe how far we've come??

Best summer of my life watching the weght melt away:carrot::carrot: congrats on your success! I just missed 45 this week by .5 I will be away this week for WI so the following week will be a 2 week WI. According to my home scale I have already lost that pesky .5 so 45 unofficially.

Congrats on your weight loss! I am close too and am excited and scared at the same time. Don't forget how you look and feel now. I think that will be my motivation for not gaining the weight back. I don't ever want to look or feel like a blob again - I know I will if I go back to my old habits.

This is all so true!!!! I wasn't happy in the body that I started at and have gained so much knowledge and confidence through doing this program. I will always make conscious food choices when I'm in maintenance. I refuse to go back. Also, I'm getting rid of all of my bigger sized clothes so I have even more motivation and can't go back into my closet and pull out something in a larger size if the smaller ones get too tight.

canadjineh 10-16-2014 06:57 PM

Totally the trick, kissi! Keep only one pair of your fattest fat pants for a comparison on those days when you feel like a blob (once a month, lol). Get rid of all the other heavy girl clothes and "fit what you've got." When it gets to the point that you are considering going out to buy a new (larger) pair of pants or top, that is your 'SCREAM POINT.' :fr: Your signal to stop NOW, and get it back to plan! It's kind of hard to just let it slide if you end up having to go to work naked because you have no more clothes that fit, lol.

I love this! I am so nervous about maintenance which I think is a healthy nervous because if I weren't worried about it then I would be more apt to jump on old bad habits.

I have BAGS and BAGS of clothes going out this weekend actually. If they were nicer clothes, I would put them up for grabs but I've never been one to spend a lot of money on clothes. Maybe once I'm smaller I'll splurge here and there but honestly I always shop for deals.

Hey June starters how is everyone doing?

My winter wardrobe is less than desirable right now. Pants are ok, but almost all my shirts are still 22/24 when in reality I need 18's or XL instead of 3XL. I have given some away and I have purchases some cheap items (Old Navy is awesome). It's hard to let go.....it's such a mental game. I know I am better with less that fit right as opposed to a ton of clothes that are too big, but......

I'm happy to say I reached my goal yesterday! I began on 6/25/14 and had a goal date of Halloween to reach. 45 pounds, gone!! I have never in my life reached a weight loss goal and I have been on every diet known to man! I am super stoked!! :carrot::carrot::carrot:

I feel you on this one, Sue. I started to seriously get rid of my bigger clothes and I bought a few items for cheap (Old Navy!!) that I can mix up and wear and it doesn't look like I'm rewearing the same thing. (Black Skirts and Pants and Jeans and Black Jeans are my friends). I still have a bunch of pencil skirts to sew up, but I keep procrastinating on that.

It was hard letting go of a lot of clothes. It takes a lot out of you because I have so many memories in some outfits and it feels like I'm throwing out a piece of me and then I have to remember, that I am donating them to live on with someone else. Or some of them I've just worn the heck out of and maybe they should just retire for good. Lol.

WTG MomCat!! That's awesome! You must be so excited.

I finally saw some movement on my home scale this week after having an unexplained .8lb gain this week.

Spent some time shopping at resale and consignment shops this week trying to find some good deals on in between sized clothes. I think I might finally be shrinking out of the most recent size clothes I bought. Started in a size 22, currently wearing 20s but fit into 2 dresses size 16 and some 18 pants.

I don't know about the rest of you but I am DYING to shop in regular sized clothing shops...although also overwhelmed at the thought of the amount of choices.

Hope everyone is having a great OP week!!

Jealous that your next to goal LOL...I will get there too.....I have been wearing lots of repeats! Good thing for me is that I don't see the same people every day. Some days I am not even in the office so if I work from home I could care less how big my clothes are LOL

I hear you and was so excited to shop at Old Navy! I know they also sell + size clothing, but the choices really open up when you can shop in the regular sizes. Thats where the more trendy stuff is.. LOL

Hi all- I had a slow week. Past couple weeks been sick, this week I had to really lay on the cough meds. I think it really affected my weigh in for this week. 0.8 loss. Not going to really complain though cause it could have been a gain! My water in take was horrible and I didn't get my daily walks in that I am used to. Really didn't eat all my veggies. Had some busy days where timing of eating was off etc. I am just full of excuses but I am making sure today I am stuffing my face (veggies) and drinking a belly full of water LOL. I have wanted to hit my 50 pound mark for 3 weeks now and it's just killing me not reaching it yet. I just need 3 more pounds..ugh. I have gone down 6 dress pants sizes..that has been a wonderful feeling! :) :) :) You are all doing a wonderful job! Keep it up! Holidays are just around the corner! Plus I have a vacation to Florida in 8 weeks! Thank goodness I can eat protein..cause coming from Iowa..I am ready for some "fresh-er" seafood! :P

Hit 50lb lost today!! :)

Few more pounds and I will be:
- half way there
- in Onderland
- overweight (no longer obese)

Hoping to reach all of these by Thanksgiving. Will have much to be thankful for this year as long as I stay Focused and OP.

sdhinds 10-27-2014 02:06 PM

Congrats to you!!! I can only imagine how you are feeling with this excitement! :) As my post said before...3 pounds to go LOL I have been stuck in the 170's range that feels like months (maybe one..but it feels like months) LOL

Your doing great....

sdhinds 10-28-2014 09:43 AM

I so wish my WI had been today vs yesterday. I jumped on the scale this morning and even though my scale and the office scale are different it moved :) I have hit the 50 mark (for what would be the clinic scale)! Just can't count it till next week LOL. Great feeling!!! Lessons learned..don't use cough medicine if your wanting to lose weight HA.

nat1015 10-28-2014 09:55 AM

Woohoo! Everyone is doing awesome!

kissi 10-28-2014 09:59 AM

I'm hoping I hit 50 lbs lost at my Friday WI too!!! :hugs: for the June starters! Everyone is really doing a great job!

My home scale has been much more kind than my clinic scale....which is okay because I'm phasing off by my clinic scale so I'll have a bit of an extra cushion. Still to be determined when I actually decide to phase off.

sdhinds 10-28-2014 10:08 AM

I really like that most of us are around the same poundage for losing. That really shows we ALL are really doing AWESOME!!! and on track! I know we may have started different weeks but all our bodies are different but given just a few weeks in between..we are all together on this! :) (if that makes sense..I am babbling) lol woo hoo to all!!!!! Instead of drinks..I am passing water and sliced cucumbers all around :P Enjoy hehehe

napagirl 01-25-2015 08:56 AM

Made it!

What amazes me is how easy it is to maintain good habits now that I'm at goal.
At home, we have been reading Michael Pollan's books-references to his writing in the videos really intrigued me. Having a greater understanding for the long term implications for the choices I make in food motivate me to do the right thing-my whole family is eating better!

Well hello fellow June starter! I wondered if I was the sole June survivor and thought this thread was gone and dead.

So glad to hear you are on maintenance and rocking it! You give me hope since we started at the same time.

I am down a total of 80lbs. Started at a size 22 and now wearing size 14 bottoms and L tops. Enjoying my new body in clothing but holding my breath on the skin situation. Still, I would rather be thin and wrinkly than fat.

Starting to get a little impatient at hitting goal. I need to focus on IP as a way of life and not not a temporary "diet" which is what has gotten me in trouble in the past.

napagirl 01-26-2015 07:05 PM

Keep going-you're doing amazing work! I hit a wall in October, but the coaches really talked me through. Are you eating the jelly and drinking the blueberry Granata? Those foods really made a difference with skin shrinkage.

:balloons:

Some of the June, July, August and September 2014 Starters are forming a new thread - Summer 2014 Starters Put Spring in their Step in March.

A few of the late June Starters and some September newbies have already been dropping in with July and August -- please come participate in our determined little group!

We are looking to reach goal, phase off of P1, and work together on maintenance. Hopefully - we can support each other and do this as successfully as we are achieving our weight loss in P1.

We think we might keep ourselves engaged in the effort by working together here on 3FC -- We'd like to start a new thread with a common interest focus each month... The starters from October November 2013 have been doing this with great success, proving that there is value in our ability to support one another.

Come join us -- we would love to have your ideas and would like to share best practices and lessons learned!!

thanks,
cheryl
