Great for you for enjoying your time and just having fun!! That is such a freedom to not be self-conscious!!! Keep it up! Looking forward to your official weigh in number!

Default I hate Stress!!

I hate stress!!! It is not my friend for sure. I work full time nights as a nurse working with cancer patients (physically and very emotionally stress), Mother of 2 toddlers (ages 2, 3), and I am a full time student taking 16 credit hours this semester!!!

I am so stress that I hope it isn't impending on my weight loss. Did you guys notice any difference in your clothes before your weigh in? I have been OP for 8 days with official weigh in tomorrow! I can't tell a single difference yet!

Does anyone have the sheet someone posted quite some time ago that gives Vegetarian Selections for the 8oz meat replacements. They got it from their clinic and it gave brand name products (i.e. Boca Burgers) and how much of the product you could have as your protein.

A friend wants to see how the vegetarian choices work for IP.

THANKS!

Not sure how much this will help but you can compare the amount of protein grams on the Nutrition Facts from Boca Burger or other packaged vegetarian options with this chart from my protocol sheets (this is important in maintenance when you start to watch your grams & calories, etc.):

BEEF - hamburger patty 4 oz - 28g protein (I'm thinking cooked weight)
steak 6 oz - 42 g protein
most cuts of beef - 7 g of protein per oz

CHICKEN - breast 3.5 oz - 30 g protein
thigh 10 g protein for average size
drumstick - 11 g protein
wing - 6 grams
chicken meat, cooked - 4 oz - 35 g protein

FISH Most fish fillets or steaks are about 22 g of protein for 2.5 oz of cooked fish or 6 g per oz.
tuna 6 oz can - 40 g protein

PORK pork chop average - 22 g of protein
loin or tenderloin 4 oz - 29 g protein
ham 3 oz - 19 g
bacon 1 slice 3 g
Canadian Back Bacon 1 slice 5-6 g protein

EGG large 6 g protein
TOFU 1/2 c 20 g protein
or 1 oz, 2.3 g protein

Not sure where else this info might be... but I hope this may be useful.

I was at 217.2 this morning ... 0.2lbs from -60lbs! I got it tomorrow, most likely!

I go visit the vampires tomorrow morning to get my ferritin level checked (and probably cholesterol & thyroid as well). Looking forward to seeing if I'm right about my iron. Asked B-i-L the pharmacist about the supplements, and he said to take iron with Vitamin C, and make sure I'm NOT taking it with the multivitamin or the Cal-Mag (so, at lunch, then). Coach wants to try to get the iron level up just through diet, but ... I think not, if it has truly plummeted in under 3 months.

Also, I seem to get cravings more at mid-cycle than at TOM ... anybody else experiencing that? Nothing uncontrollable, just, "Gee, it would be nice to have a RIGHT NOW."

Are you brand new? If it's your first week, you can add a packet if you need to. Once you are in Ketosis, you really shouldn't have to deal with "real" hunger pangs. I still have to deal with "emotional" hunger when I'm bored or stressed...but that's just my old habit of emotional eating.

You can divide your meals up into smaller meals/snacks that might help you satisfy. You can also eat as much lettuce as you like. I never had to do this, but I know some IPers discussed keeping lettuce with them. I ADORE Walden Farms Chipotle dressing (and also their Thousand Island) that I can dip veggies in if I need a little snack. Also, a nice juicy dill pickle spear does WONDERS for the urge to snack.

Hang in there...it gets a lot easier!!!!

Try hot decaf herbal tea - for some reason the hot drinks always seem to fill me up better. And lettuce, lots and lots of lettuce.

Hang in there, it gets better!

I'm starting IP as a newb this Sunday. I'm headed to Costco and possibly Target tomorrow to get groceries, and vitamins if possible. Is there an IP shopping list broken down by store, by chance? I'm reading lots of great info here on the boards but having trouble keeping it all straight
