So glad for all the supportive vibes and good recipe ideas . Now I need to get some oatmeal packets...I only have shakes and soups ( doing IP alternative). Keeping the faith and loving the summer energy here in Portland Oregon where it does not get dark until close to 10pm.

You can do the same with the puddings and drink mixes too. I found adding the zucchini helped keep them from getting too dry and got a cup of veggies in too.
Good morning everyone,
Still paying for my weekend cheat. I still have 2lbs of the 6 I gained last weekend. I am proud of myself though because I have been exposed to several family dinners and situations where I would have loved to cheat and haven't. One of my challenges is not eating any of the foods that my teenage kids have. I know some people eliminate any temptations from their home but, just because I am overweight doesn't mean everyone else can't enjoy good food. I had my older son and his wife over for dinner last night and it was a true challenge to pass the avocado and cheese but, I did. Yay me
Hi Everyone. I am new also I started on May 28. My week 1 I lost 10lbs but put 4.5 back on because I ate out. Then today I cheated. I feel lousy about cheated so I join this board for support. I am determined.
Sillysilv! Great 1st week loss! Get your mind back focused! This isn't easy at all, it is so hard, but you can do it! We are all here to support you.
Linda - I have been off the boards for a few days. I am truly sorry to see the negative posts that have been directed at you. I have known you for so many years and have never considered you negative in anyway. You are one of the most caring, thoughtful people I know. You are always so dedicated to what you are doing.
I am almost sorry I suggested that you come here for support on this getting healthy journey, but I know you will come through ok.
Keep up the positive spirit and we will get to our healthy weight before you know it!
Nancy
Thank you my beautiful friend! I appreciate you standing up for me. Please don't be sorry! Remember the motto... Don't let a few "bad apples" spoil the whole tree!
YES we are going to get to our healthy weight before we know it...walking arm and arm girlfriend!
Congratulations to all you ladies who got your tickers...it's nice to see our progress in print! Now let's keep it moving!!!Hope you all have a wonderful OP day!!
Linda I agree that you have been very supportive and great for the moral of everyone on this journey. And I love your "giant cute emoticons" keep 'em coming girlfriend!!
Thank you so much for your kind words and support NaeNae, I appreciate you so much!
I hope we will all be able to help. You will learn pretty quick that there is no room for cheating on this diet. There are 100% people and 90% people. All out cheats though will get you no where and be very expensive.
Use all the threads here to get the most support and have your questions answered.
You can do this!!!
ChipnDip~ Just wanted to tell you that just seeing your posts makes me SMILE!

This protocol really doesn't have room for all-out "cheats" (realizing that everyone makes mistakes) but that is actually the beauty of it. I know I benefit from the rigid structure of it. I need very defined limits and restrictions or I will test the limits every time.
My current challenge is not in slipping up by having something I shouldn't, but really focusing on getting every blessed ounce of water my coach recommends into my body every day, making sure I get every supplement at the recommended time, and all my salt and oil in daily. It's harder than I want it to be, but as Lisa has shared, I have to "pick my hard" and this discipline is what I pick right now. Anyone else buckling down on this with me?
I agree 100%! That is why I decided to go on IP rather than Atkins, South Beach, Carb Nite, etc...etc.. I needed something with more structure. Now, I am not a follow the paper protocol "exactly as written" kind of girl, I do make exceptions to the rules in order for me to stay for the long haul. Not huge exceptions, and NEVER an all out cheat, but small, tiny adjustments that for me I feel are necessary. NOT saying that is right for eveyone, but for me it is a MUST.
When you go on DR Tran Tien Chanh's webite... Here is the link in case anyone wants to check it out. Awesome website with so much information about this program! ---->http://www.trantiendiet.com/site/spip.php?rubrique27 he himself says that "The aim is not to follow the strictest diet possible, but rather to go on an effective diet that you’ll be able to stick with as long as possible under the best conditions."
Hey everyone! I never looked at this thread before but I'm going for my 9 week weigh in today. Love the positive energy

Penny! That is just awesome! You are doing it girl!
Water makes such a huge difference in the fat mobilization process! Our livers are 95% water. And, since our livers are so important in this process, we want to keep them running at 100% full operating function! If we even get the slightest bit dehydrated, our kidneys will not function at their full capacity, so our livers will have to pick up the slack...which means they will not be functioning at full fat mobilization capacity! And water is also even MORE crucial to those following a low carb diet. So yes...Drink that water ladies!!
YIKES I clearly have not been on the boards lately...
Hope everyone is having a great month so far! Me not so much but I pulled out the big girl panties today and im ready to go again.
I am completely in love with vanilla ready made and expresso with ice! Aaand my costco just got the vanilla premier protein drinks back so im super excited! Love spending $26 on 18 rather then $30 ish on 6 ♡♡♡
KK! There you are! Girl you can say that again...YIKES! But we wont get into that hot mess...lol Ok, now, get those big girl panties pulled up and let's get this fat stomping on the road! Costco had the PP drinks on sale for only 19.99 last week. Killer deal! I wish I had bought more. I have been drinking the full 11 oz and losing just fine.

Oh my friend how you brighten my day... You are doing an AMAZING job and you are an incredible inspiration to me! I couldn't do this without you by my side! You are taking the bull by the horns and showing it who's boss! I am so happy you were able to ditch those horrible blood pressure meds! I can't wait till I can say the same thing...that is just so fantastico!!
PS.. I feel like I have to justify every comment I make for some odd reason...silly, I know, but here goes.... NO, I am not suggesting to ANYONE that they drink the entire 11 oz carton of the Premier Protein shakes and not halve it in order to abide by the protocol. I'm just stating that this is what I have been choosing to do and it is working for me. Please everyone use your own judgement and come to your own decision on what's working for yourselves.
