Congrats! I'm hoping I lose again tomorrow too....feeling a bit "heavy" today, if that makes sense. But IP really does work, so fingers are crossed for my WI tomorrow.

Hope everyone enjoys their Monday!

Great weigh ins! I think we are getting spoiled I was frustrated with my 2 pounds/week on Sat. We all need a mind adjustment, that is a healthy rate.

I have to agree with you. Any other diet and we would be screaming off the rooftop "I LOST 2 LBS THIS WEEK" haha but its very frustrating when you can eat healthy, wide variety of foods and lose the same as you can with us eating No carb/low carb, no sugar/low fat strict foods. I guess I am just in a funk. On this diet I like to see 2-3 a week and higher. And its just frustrating when its a 1. But like everyone else says, we get swooshes and then we feel on top of the world again. Its just a low week for me I guess.

Congrats to everyone with a WI this weekend/today

Okay...time to change this funk! I just figured out I have to get excited again, I have been getting so dang bored!! So, I just used 1/2 Vanilla Packet, 1/2 Capuccino Packet, 1 tsp of pumpkin pie spice and some ice. I gotta say..not too bad! Could use a bit perfecting but for first try, pretty darn satisfied!
I was looking on some of the recipe boards and was super excited to find a way that rainbowsmiles created a type of 'bun'...but then got bummed out when I thought, crap, I would be eating that with a burger to sub for bread and it's restricted sooooo I guess I will wait awhile for that because I sure don't have any time to cook up anything in the morning to make it into a sort of english muffin thingy. Oh well, another day.

Well, now Airportchick -- why to brake for jewels I'm still waiting for my ten pound mark as well to finally wear my a mini-goal ring. We'll see how I do on the weigh in tomorrow.

Congrat Claustin! You had some massive loss over the last two weeks and (you're so small). Gives me hope that I too can achieve that.

Jig. I bought a jimaca yesterday to try. It was the talk of the grocery aisle because three people had to look up the correct PLU number. It's not a fast moving item apparently

Hello all; I started IP on February 22, 2013 and stopped at the end of June 2013. I have lost a total of 35 pounds only.
Wanted to be able to drink and not worry about shakes, protein portions etc...for the summer.
Since the end of August 2013, I have tried numerous times to get back on the IP however...it's been difficult.
I started again today...but for some reason I cannot get my head where it needs to be.
Help! any suggestions. I really need to get back on as I want to be on track before the holidays arrive and 2014 begins. I want my life back and most especially want to be healthy....I want to be among the land of the living, walk, travel with my partner..we are approaching retirement in 6 yrs. My success in getting a grip on this will help my entire family not only my husband and I.

Hi rachel3-

I just decided that I would start treating my body with respect. My physical body was beginning to feel the effects of my carb eating and I decided that I am worth more than a pint of Ben & Jerry's. It has also become clearer in the last 6 weeks, that the food did not change anything. The stressors are still the same, but I am feeling stronger. Do not get me wrong, it is a constant choice to follow this healthier path. The goal at the end- a beautiful healthy life. You have all the pieces, a family, husband, future travel and retirement. You just have to choose to show up and get the work done. You can do it!

Does anyone ever have a 4th packet? My coach said it's okay but just wondering if you have done this on one of those really hungry days and if you noticed it impacting you weight donations.

Thanks!

Airportchick, the first week, I had 4 packets a day because I misunderstood my coach. I lost 6 pounds that week.

Slipfree: No worries, you didn't misunderstand your coach...the first week you are allowed up to 5 packets per day (1 restricted and 4 non-restricted) if you need them.

Good morning all! Just back from weigh in and I donated another 2.8 pounds to the bank. Not too bad considering I thought I would be up, after all it is TOM. To lose weight is amazing. I am so glad I found IP and even happier that I have decided to stick with it. Now that my mind is in the right place, I feel that I can conquer the holidays and still watch the scale go down.

Today, my doctor gave me permission to have fun over Thanksgiving. He said last year he told some people (based on personality) to watch what they eat, pay attention to carbs, etc. The others, he told to not worry about it. He said he found those he gave permission to have fun, lost weight. They were watching what they ate since they had been OP for a time and, let's face it, it starts to become a habit to watch what you eat. The group he told to pay attention to everything, felt they could "control" what they ate and it turned out they couldn't. It was really a mind game for them. So this year, he said he would tell everyone to have fun and try not to worry about it. I really understand where he is coming from. I start thinking if the "insert item" is worth it. I keep thinking a day of bad is 3-4 days of good again. I don't know about you, but I'd like to save those days so I can finish sooner.

Okay...off the soap box for now. I hope you all have a wonderful OP IP day! Remember....you are worth it!

emsmom97--Congrats on your weight loss! Very exciting

Great advice and something to think about from what your Doctor said.

Thanks Lucci! And I do think about what he said. It's funny, the choices I make today are so different from a year ago. My mind is in this 100% and that really helps. I think I have actually learned self-control through this process. And that is HUGE! Lack of self control is what got me into this situation to begin with and I never want to lose it again!
