Soooo I just discovered something I think I could eat almost everyday. I just threw two cups of spinach in the blender with a premade peach/mango, a little ice and hit liquify on that blender! Crazzzzyyyyy yummy!! I think this will work on most of my crazy work days and help with the boredom of salads that I'm experiencing. I think I could freeze a weeks worth and just take them out in the morning. Does anyone ever do that?

They begged and I begged them back reminding them of my goal and that this particular place would be entirely too hard to be there with only 3 weeks under my belt. I feel they understood but I just feel the need to have my boundaries. I wanted them to go because it's a great place, I just don't feel it's a safe place for me yet, as they only serve one item I could eat.
I'm getting nervous about staying on this for 9 more weeks before the next phase (if all goes well). I am fine with breakfast and dinner. I am having a real hard time with lunch. I am so tired of the vegetable choices and I'm really trying to mix it up. I know myself, and I know I will not eat over cheating. I know that is not good either. I just am taking a promise each day to eat my lunch, but it's getting frustrating. Is anyone else having this issue? Like I said, everything else, I am happy with...it's just the dreaded lunch.
I eat a boiled egg for lunch (counts as 2 ounces of protein) lettuce, veggies and a few pickles.

Hi! I started my IP journey on Oct 7. 3 weeks done and feeling great! I had a lot of factors within a short amount of time that made up my mind to do this. This morning I realized that if I had discovered IP at any other time, I probably would not have been as committed or as successful. At my weigh-in last week, I was down 13 lb. (week 2). I am actually looking forward to weighing in next week! Since the 1st of Sept. I am down a total of 28. I had already cut dairy and gluten from my diet in an effort to feel better, so IP was a no-brainer when my endochrinologist suggested it.

I'm also looking forward to going "shopping" in the back of my closet. I refuse to spend money on new clothes until I'm down another size.

Congrats on everyone's successes!

Debbie

Welcome Ladybugsgrandma! Congrats. on your losses so far.

Went to lunch with Mom and had a huge salad with 4 med. shrimp. So for dinner, I had 4 ounces of tuna fish with mustard ,WF thousand island dressing and 2 chopped up pickles. Scooped it up with the new garlic crisps. Tasted pretty good.

Going to make some cinnamon tea now, getting chilly in CT.

Hope you all had a great day

Been on here a lot tonight but I just saw somegreat quotes on Pinterest.

" If you are tired of starting over then stop giving up."

"The few moments of happiness that soda brings is nothing like the pure joy that will come from finally being healthy and thin."

"If you are not willing to eat healthy foods, then you are not really hungry- you are craving."

So, I have been avoiding Halloween parties like the plague! I'm not sure if it's that I don't trust myself to be around all that food/drinks or if I just don't want to put myself in the situation to be tempted. Either way, it's too early in the game for me to feel secure putting myself in a situation like that. HOWEVER,

I am away at a conference until Tuesday night. I'm so worried that I'll screw up! It's just me and my boss who came from our company and I know there will be pressure to go out for lunch and dinner. I am proud that I bought my veggies for both lunches and my IP packets with me. I even called ahead to make sure there's a microwave available for me to use at lunch. The hotel room has a fridge so my veggies are safely tucked in there. I will have to go out to eat tomorrow night. Any recommendations????

I've been having a hard time coming to grips with the fact that this plan WILL work for me. I think I'm just terrified to get my hopes up. I've tried so many other things and haven't been successful. I'm scared to mess this up. I've even been having dreams that I cheat and I wake up thinking I have!

1 week weigh in tomorrow morning and I am pretty excited. I bought ketostix today and I am definitely in ketosis. Based on my breath I'd say I have been in ketosis for about 3-4 days. So I'm pretty excited to see some results on the scale.

How is everyone else's start going?

Good luck to all you wonderful IP'ers!
Congratulations on trying again Claustin.

So glad you are at least coming up with a plan. That in itself will help a ton! I have been going out to dinner quite a bit and getting it nailed down. I've asked fish dishes to not be marinated and that I'm allergic to butter..lol Almost everywhere has salad. I ask at Mexican restaurants for the fajitas, pick out the onion or tell them no onion, extra pico and a plate of shredded lettuce. It is soooo good! I have found that ordering the veggie fajitas and adding chicked gets you a broader veggie choice as well. If you're at a steakhouse, that is pretty easy as well..a hunk of meat and some steamed veggies..no butter cause you are allergic to that now, or a side salad. You can do it! I even ask how many ounces of meat are served...I want to know! I find they are pretty accommodating. I always figure they have dealt with someone worse and I try to be as sweet as possible, I've never had a poor reaction, most servers are willing to go that extra mile.
Keep us updated on how everything went!

You just gave me a great idea! I've been hankering for some tuna salad but I have to have something crunchy to scoop it up with. Garlic crisps will be perfect!

I thought we could not have tuna fish from a can? I thought it was just red tuna that u cook or sashimi style?

I tried 2 restaurants this week. First time since on IP. I was so nervous. First was Korean BBQ Buffett. Had unmarinated meats, shrimp and chicken and lettuce w some steamed broccoli, lettuce and sprouts.

2nd place was a sushi place that made rolls w no rice. They wrapped in cucumber so inside was salmon, tuna, and another fish. Also has salmon skin salad.

My 3rd weigh in is today hope it all works.

Hi Luccilove! I thought we could have it if it was packed in water? I will have to check with my coach on that one.

Nice ideas on the restaurants.

And of course, last but not least...have a good WI. I am suppose to WI today but my coach is out due to family emergency. I will WI on Wednesday. I've had another OP week so I can only hope for the best. I love not feeling so bloated all the time, I never knew that feeling existed!

I will ask my coach today about the tuna but my place is new since the summer and they dont know everything. We dont even have the garlic chips yet - they didnt even know it was a new product!!!

I dont feel bloated anymore but I wish I could lose weight faster-I like things ASAP but I know it does not happen. I will say it is alot of work to do this. It is for sure a commitment - you can do it when you feel like it. I keep thinking - if I cheat I am wasting so much $$$ - not worth it.

I am stressing about Thanksgiving because I go to visit my parents and really dont feel like bringing all the stuff with me on a plane but we will see.

Good luck with your WI as well. I always stress out the night before thinking I gained all my weight back. I think I should stop looking at my scale at the house. It is driving me and my hubby crazy!

Default Splitting up the supplements & Vitamins

Good morning,
So this is my third week OP with alts. And this morning I got incredibly nauseated after taking the multivitamins and cal-mag. This hasn't happened to me before, and I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this since starting. I was down and out for about 90 minutes, so nauseous I couldn't even finish my EAS/coffee/spinach smoothie I don't take any other morning meds, and nothing else was different. I am feeling better now, but I want to avoid this happening again. The only thing I could think of was I was only 1/4 of the way through my smoothie when I took them.

On the bright side, I am now down 20 lbs from my starting weight. And the NSV is that I was able to wear a "new" old pair of jeans this weekend!

Thanks fellow October Newbies,
Dee
