Will do! I'm really curious to see my cholesterol results in particular, as I was 'borderline high' when I started, and it had been gradually creeping higher and higher over the last year or so. I ought to have them back within a week or so.

My plan after phasing off is to do a round of The Whole30 to settle in as a maintenance lifestyle. I think I will take Whole30 principles and try to meld them with Dr. Tran's ideas for separating carbs and fats.
I would be interested in the Paleo info -- maybe start a thread so people can search for it easier.

So I've been debating with myself how much more weight I want to lose. I haven't hit my 'goal' weight yet but I am very happy with the way I look now so my coach and I today decided that I would do two more weeks on P1, then move to one week on P2 and two weeks on P3. Very exciting!
CONGRATS!! Very excited for you!

HA! The dustbunnies won! I went to tackle the basement and the vacuum literally blew up (just a belt I hope). Not only is the floor not done, but now it smells like burnt stuff in the house. I wave the white flag!

Hey all, I survived vacation in Orlando, doing 5 days of theme parks! I'm excited that I had a 2 lb loss which brings me officially to a tidy 75 lbs loss, woohoo! I stuck to the program plus an extra bar each day to counter all the walking we did while pushing a double stroller all over the place. It was a lot of fun, but I'm glad to be back in my routine, not glad to be back in the cold ;-o

Happy Birthday to Lisa, Happy Anniversary to Liz, and congrats to all who are rocking the program!

I'm further along in my readings of "Fat Chance" by Robert Lustig, and this has to be the most eye-opening book on diet and nutrition I've ever read. Anyone who thinks a calorie is a calorie needs to read this, it's simply not true.

Something to look for in your grocery store: I just read that Torani now has a sugar-free Salted Caramel syrup, mmmmm. Anyone tried it?

Sooo thrilled for you; Congrats!
Plus you'll have the benefit of so many who have recently went into maintenance. Jen

I've been checking out all the P3 and maintenance threads for a couple of weeks now. I've printed off a ton of recipes that people have posted for P3 breakfasts especially (I've never been a breakfast eater) and have been reading everything I can find. I'm so thrilled with the weight loss and I am determined to do everything right in maintenance.

Thanks for adding another book to my list of books to read. I already know from Gary Taubes that a calorie isn't always equal to a calorie but it IS good to get reaffirmation!
Congrats on 75 gone forever. Travel and vacations does odd things to my system & typically takes me some time to recover & start losing again.

Your progress is amazing but I think people just don't know how to talk about it. My mom's weight goes up and down quite a bit and I really just keep quiet about it because I know she's really sensitive about it. Maybe your family is doing the same -- they love you as you are and aren't wanting to bring your weight into their time with you. (just a theory.)
Thanks IP43! I was thinking of changing my avatar, but maybe I'll keep it a bit longer I like the way you think.

I told him could I at least get to goal before he has me fail...sigh. you are not the only one. You are doing great, and we appreciate your hard work and what your doing to better yourself. All we can do is prove them wrong by succeeding.
Wow! That's almost the kind of comment I was expecting. Silence is better than that! So sorry that happened to you. And you're right, I will prove them wrong and so will you!

They were saying they could tell even with 20 lbs lost, but I know that was just to be encouraging. From people who did not know I was dieting it took 70 to 100 lbs before they said anything. Even after 100 lbs I still got "nice hair" comments as they weren't sure what was changed. I started with a BMI of 51, so until my BMI got to about 40 was when people really did notice, even if they couldn't figure out what the difference was exactly. Now with ~140 loss (double the 70 lbs start to noticing) I finally am getting the "OMG you look fabulous" comments BMI of ~31 as of today. I did/do change out my clothing size often. I was given a bunch of size ranges down from my sister - so it wasn't that I was wearing the same baggy stuff to hide under either.

So my advice, just know that any hair comments, or new outfit, makeup, etc are weightloss comments. If you are like me, in the back of your head you may be saying "yah my hair looks great with xx lbs less underneath of it". Just keep on plan, you know your clothing fits better, and you feel lighter on your feet, behind the wheel, etc. You will have your fabulous comments but it takes others awhile to catch on. You are doing great!
Thanks so much for sharing! I should probably get new clothes, I am floating in many of them. I just know that anything I but will be too big really soon! Which is a great problem to have... You are doing amazing, your stats are inspirational!!

Had a great day today! Went bird watching, sand castle building, walking on the beach, swimming, and watching all the 'crazy teenagers' (as my daughter calls them) enjoying Spring Break. I may never go back to real life!

Happy belated birthday to Lisa and Monica!

Hi everyone. Popping in for a quick update. Things have been very hectic and stressful in our house! My little boy has been referred to a pediatric oncologist to rule out anything nasty with his enlarge lymph nodes. Now in my head, I am NOT worried. He has always had BIG nodes, this is NOT NEW. They are chronic and it's just "him". Older son had them as well and just kinda "grew" into them. Our family doctor has been monitoring them for a while now, and the last ultrasound showed a couple of borderline sized ones in his abdomen. Still no cause for major alarm, IN MY HEAD, but tell that to my heart!!! I am in panic and freak out mode right now. He's active, healthy, full of life and energy and growing!! This is normal for him and part of me is thankful for the referral to the specialist to rule out anything bad, but the other part of me is pretty worried. I can't "go there" in my head right now, but any prayers would be welcome for my peace and my little boy's health! I've decided to eat clean for the next couple of weeks, there's been alot of change in my life lately with my clinic and coach, me moving to alternatives, and now this. I want to eat clean and maintain for a while, once this doctor's appointment is over I'll be ready to give er again! Thanks guys and I hope everyone is doing well!

I just noticed today that for your avatar you're a "senior member" Monica. Not sure how people get to be a senior member but it has NOTHING to do with your birthday! LOL
Sorry work was so sucky -- you're justified to go and SHOP for something fun tomorrow!

ZOIKS what a stressful thing for you. Have some of these times ten You know we'll be thinking of you and sending prayers for you and your son. Being a nurse makes it worse I'm sure but as you said you know this is normal for your guys, so just hold on to that and don't stress (easy to say, hard to do). Your son will pick up on your stress too.
Keep coming in and letting us know how you are. I totally understand your need to 'eat clean' but just be wary and wise because, as I've said from experience, those pounds will come back quickly if you just go back to eating lots of carbs - even if they're healthy ones.
If you need to chat/vent/yell/laugh/just talk to someone who's not in your face all day, just send me a message anytime

More of these for you
