but the racquetball has been a little tough...but an hour of rb for someone my size can burn upwards of 800/900 kcal (which would be very counter-productive).
Kris, I would think it would be on the days you play racquetball, not the baseball. To give your body the extra protein from what you are burning....but let's double check....with someone who knows more than me. ???? someone ???? Billie |

on the days that you have "extra" activities like the RB and you are burning more cals than you are taking in, having the extra packet gives your body something to burn besides what you have taken in. Anytime you do extra activites that gets your heart rate up it is suggested to have an extra packet. This is what I tell my people, this is IMO only, listen to your coach she knows what is best for you

I love what you mentioned earlier, about needing a dietary change. AWESOME, this program is so much more than just a strict diet. It changed the way I eat. Introduced me to new foods, and just zapped those extra pounds away. I've been in Phase 4/Maintenance since the start of November and have not yet once gone over my 5 lbs range. So, through three big holidays, thanks to IP, I totally enjoyed myself, and this program was with me the entire time, no large weight gains, I knew what to do if the scale started going up and here I am. Good luck on the program. You are gonna love it. |

My week one weigh-in with coach was last night. She seemed shocked that I didn’t lose 10 pounds. It didn’t shock me at all; I did not expect 10 pounds. Simply because the first appointment was in the morning, this one (and everyone after this) is at 6:20pm. I have always retained water during the day. My job can be a pressure cooker at times, with tons of stress. Which just happen to occur yesterday. Also this place caters to female-units. No men’s room to be found. I finally asked after the weigh in and was told to use the one of many women’s rest rooms as there is none for males. Ha, I purposely left the toilet seat up! I was very pleased with the result. |

BTW...I might be finally burning all of my Cowboy's gear and jumping on the Hu Dat bandwagon!!! In all seriousness though...I can't give up on my 'boys despite my love for LA...the problem is that every time I go to LA (usually New Orleans), I end up getting myself into trouble! New Orleans is my kryptonite!!! It's like trying to mix oil and water...just doesn't work out!!! LOL |

OK fellas...today was a good day! I tried the chicken patty mix for the first time...not too bad. It really just didn't sound very appetizing to me...I gave it a shot...put a little olive oil in the pan and cooked it a little longer than the directions called (i like my food a little "crispy") and dug in thinking I was going to spit it right back out...and it tasted nothing like I had imagined (poop)...so I was pleasantly surprised and it kept me full all afternoon.
Speaking of full...it is amazing how full I stay on IP considering I have cut my calorie intake to almost nothing...LOL! I do tend to have some stomach growling during the day, but it is only around the time I should be consuming my next meal...which I can deal with. Now to why it was such a good day. Since I started IP, the thing I have missed the most was my morning two cups of coffee. I know there are some tips people do, but IMO, they all stink!!! I have always been a heavy splenda and vanilla cream guy...it's just the way I love my coffee. I tried black and damn near threw up. I tried with the vanilla shake substituting for the cream using stevia instead of splenda...and thought it was horrible. So comparing the calorie count of my allowed 1 oz of skim milk to 0.5 oz of heavy whipping cream, i decided to use the heavy cream...I am trading 0 carbs in the heavy cream for a few calories vs. the 1.5 carbs the skim milk would add and a tad fewer calories...so coffe, heavy cream and stevia would make me happy, right? NOPE! I just don't like stevia...it is bitter and kind of makes me nauseated while drinking it. Oh if I could just use all the splenda i wanted life would be great...but I couldn't, so i gave up my coffee...until today!!! I was at Walmart and I happened to see that they just picked up a product called Sucralose to Go (sucralosetogo.com)...for those that don't know.... Sucralose is the actual sweetening product in splenda, then they use dextrose and something else to make it in the form that they do (acts as a "filler")...anyways... Sucralose has 0 calories and 0 carbs (and Sucralose itself is not a carb)...so i picked up one, brought it home and went straight to the Keurig...and man...heaven just dropped in my lap...I will have to say that I will always have a bottle of this in my pocket! So, basically, I just found a long, drawn out way to tell everyone about Sucralose to Go. The 4 splenda packets a day has been the only problem i have had with IP and this product just solved it. Through various threads, I have seen other people complain about stevia and the rationed splenda and thought I would share my discovery! Oh, and for those with celiac, it is gluten free :carrot: Cheers everyone...Kris |
Dudes I had to come LOOK for y'all!!! third page don't cut it! Having no internet at the clinic then heading to my second job til 9 gives me no time to get on here....I miss y'all!!!...
Kris, glad you found a way to have your coffee, I know I have to have mine in the morning as well! I am a Who dat fan....always have been grew up in La but am a transplant in Ms now. When it comes to college ball I am divided, have always been an LSU fan but my youngest son goes to MSU, he is a Jr this year but all is good! |
I have been drinking mine black, since I got my Keurig.
What is with the thread? Tomorrow is WI, not going to be as impressive as the first, but that is to be expected. Main thing is I am still loosing. Billie |
