Oh, yes, Happy Day! This week, I lost 3.4 pounds - it was a TOM week, plus Thanksgiving, so I'm so very excited. Plus, I can finally join this club. I may lower my goal at some point, but for right now, I have 24.8 pounds to lose. My body likes to play with my mind like that. When I wanted to hit Onederland, it took me to 199.8. Then this.
So glad to finally be here! I say finally, but yet, it was just last August when I started this journey, and it is unbelievable that I was over 60 pounds heavier, and in a physical, but also mental aspect, a whole different person.
Thanks, to IP, this forum and all the support and encouragement and information provided here!
Oh, and on exercise... I'm one of those that have walked consistently during this time. This past week, I even did more walking (2 hours a day). I won't be able to keep that up, but I am surprised that I had a great loss this week doing that much exercise. I do think if you are going to exercise, you do have to add in the extra packet, plus just watch what happens with your weight loss and see how your body responds. I know when I have busier days, there is no way I can get in walking at night, as as I'm just so tired. This last week was easier as I wasn't that busy, and I was out in the country, and I just had to walk at night so I could see the stars. Had to.
For some reason my coach wants me to add some weight training and cardio, she thinks I will have bigger losses if I do so.
I noticed in the last 8 weeks on ip my thighs have lost a lot of muscle tone. I tend to naturally be more muscular
So hopefully yoga will help with that
Yoga is excellent for strength and flexibility without the "burn" of cardio. I find it strange that your coach would want you to do cardio and burn more calories on a 700-900 calorie diet. It won't speed up anything, it will likely cause a stall because your body won't have enough calories on board to function properly. Even with my slow 2 miles a day I add an extra packet to compensate for the burned calories - make sure that whatever exercise you DO settle on, you add that extra packet within 1/2 hour after.

Yes, Scorbett, your new avatar! You look fantastic!
Thanks Scorbett, I do add an extra packet, she wanted my muscle ratio to go up, I will give it a try this week and see, weigh in is on wednesday.
I read somewhere on the forum that someone's coach had them add 2-3 extra ounces of protein and it helped with both the muscle mass and in pounds lost.
