Aw thanks!!! Just did my weigh in, down another pound! My body seems to cycle that way - two weeks of good losses, then one lower than normal week. So I'm not sweating it!
I have a friend doing IP, but the couple times we've seen each other she gives me a hard time for staying OP!! Her theory is that you still have a life and you don't want to miss out on everything just because of a diet. I am feeling the opposite, that by making those old choices my weight would be a lifelong struggle. I would like to finish this battle and then continue to make different food based decisions....otherwise what's the point?
AND I enjoy the way I am eating (for the most part!!!).
Sorry, just wanted to get that off my chest, I don't like people giving me a hard time about what I choose to eat! They surely didn't say anything when I ate cheesecake and chips with them.
18lbs to go...and perhaps I am more determined than ever

You are so right!!! Nobody cared enough to worry about what we were eating when we were gaining - but suddenly we're taking better care of ourselves and THAT'S when they want to give us food advice! With some people, I know it's because they want to feel justified in their own bad food choices. We need to stick to it!!!
Yes funny, how suddenly they are all concerned over your weight loss.
Just do your thing, you are almost at goal!
Spoke to my coach, my last possible day on Phase 1 will be January 23rd, after that two weeks of phase 2, two weeks of phase 3, followed by 2 weeks of phase 4 before I go on vacation!
went to a party last night, and no ip friendly choices, my friends are mostly vegeterian, my friend had agreed i could bring my own chicken and boy was that a big help
had a few zucchini chips while everyone else had appetizers, best of all i did not feel deprived!!!
Wednesday are my weigh ins. The scale at home is at 131.6 down 2.4 from last week!!
And I got my period this morning.
16.6 pounds to goal.
Very excited. The last stretch.
Congrats
You are getting sooooo close!!
Good work on the consistency, I weigh in today as well, so will post once I know. ( oh the irony....being willing to share our weights!! Guess that means we have made progress, we surely wouldn't be looking forward to the scale when we were gaining)
Hope everyone here had a great Thanksgiving! My pre-holiday weigh in saw a 3.2 pound loss, so I was VERY motivated to stay on plan Hoping I can average 2lb a week till the end of the year, that would mean I should be phasing off before my birthday! Here's hoping!
Sonyainva, I have been thinking about starting a gentle (hatha) yoga program just to get some flexibility and core strength going. My friend teaches a class starting in January at the local rec center, it's cheap and I'm already in good with the instructor Since I already walk 2 slow miles 4 days a week (walking my kiddo to kindergarten and back, and picking him up in the afternoon), I feel like that's enough exercise while I'm still on IP. I have big plans to ramp it up for Phase 3 and those big breakfasts, but until then I'm taking it easy

I agree with you...it seems that the weight loss is faster when you don't work out. I am currently in week 2 of phase 2. I start phase 3 no later this Friday the 30th...then I will resume my workouts around the 1st or 2nd day of December!! I plan to give myself a couple days to adjust to the introduction of carbs into my system! I'm nervous, but excited at the same time.
