When I cut out bars my losses got a lot better. Maybe you can try cutting restricteds for a few days, even if you have to add another packet (something v. low carb/calorie, like Protidiet Grape)- maybe that will help. That's what I did and my losses are a lot better this week. Those bars did me in!

Funny-I had the opposite! I added a bar and my losses improved after a stall.

It is so hard to really pinpoint what change helps! But if you think you will cheat without your restricted keep it. The weight will come off!!

Default My two cents

Here are my two cents…….The thing we should all remember is that IP is a business. They need to attract customers and get people excited about their system. I have been reading this blog every single day for 3 months. I look at peoples tickers and what they lose at their weigh-in's and There are very few that I see that actually lose the full amount advertised in the IP sales pitch, (3 to 5lbs each week they claim). It also takes people a lot longer to lose the weight then what they project in the first consultation. I have followed this plan 100% for 2 whole months and I have never lost more than 3 lbs a week. I have had 1lb loss weeks and my coach accused me of cheating, which I did not do. Every day that you don’t gain should be a good day, every day you lose should be a great day! Our bodies are a strange machine that can be affected by so many different things. Please don’t count on what they tell you in a sales pitch to be the way your body will react. Keep with the program, it will work, it just might not work as fast and spectacular as the sales pitch sounded! Keeping this in mind keeps me OP every day.

I love this! Thanks for posting this sweetsloan! I, too, have felt quite discouraged about my minimal losses. The largest I've lost while being 100% OP is 1.4 lbs. And so to see someone say that we should be grateful that we are not gaining really removes a lot of the pressure on me. We should be proud that we're on this diet in the first place and that we're actively choosing to eat and live healthy everyday.

Stay away from the cleanse stuff They're all scams.

I've been stuck at 340/341. It's frustrating.

Look at your journal and stick with it.

I've had a few weeks where there were gains for no obvious reason but I didn't fret - the body releases weight when it can. Often, as someone said, its just a little water that's hanging around on WI day. My first thought is to drink more pure water and be patient and kind to your body.

It could be coincidence, but those evenings when I have eggs for dinner (veggie omelet) I have always had a loss the next day. I don't have eggs often for dinner as my husband is not keen on that and we do eat the same things for dinner (except he'll have a starch, he's not on IP but is enjoying eating better, more vegetables, etc.). As I type this, I just decided I'm going to have eggs twice a week for dinner...I'll let you know how this experiment goes, before it was simply an anecdotal observation.

I have always believed that red meat helps jump start the system. I know it works for me every time! Try having a hamburger and see if that helps get things moving again.

Week 1 WI: -6.6
Week 2 WI: -2.4

I'm with saradise. Fattier protein always helps me lose. My coach thinks its because my own body fat is very low, and I am pretty muscular.

Turnip always gives me a gain for at least a day.

I just ordered some lower carb bars that I really love by Proti diet (wafers) And I am going to have some fattier meat today like pork chops and see if that gets things moving I tried the leaner eggs and no luck I tend to do them alot as it is (more like 3-4 times a week because they are easy). Thank you everyone. I just have been so spoiled with my fast losses (3-6 lbs) that it is hard to see it stall.

I've actually been 251ish for about 10 days now- my body seems to hate me. my bodybugg tells me I should be almost 7 pounds lighter by now, but no such luck...

Water, TOM, whatever is responsible- I still hate it.

It will happen, be patient.... I'm doing alternatives 100% OP and have never seen more than 2 lbs drop. Most are 1.5 but these pounds add up. Just think of the positive side and what you are not putting into your body anymore. We are releasing it from all the abuse we have put it through.

Very well stated. In the beginning I was losing pretty fast, but now it is less. BUT as long as I continue a downward trend I am happy. Hey - I am eating healthier than I ever have. Good protein and 4 cups of vegetables a day. What could be better? I have started some alternative products because it's so expensive and I will be doing this for a while...But overall I think it is a good healthy plan for me. I only weigh once a week and I have never checked for Ketosis because those two things will drive me absolutey nuts. I just trust the process.

You might want to look into Detour bars brand if you are doing alternatives and want a protein bar that isn't restricted. I buy mine at Coscto and I know Sam's Club sells them too. They are 17 carbs each, but by the time you deduct for fiber and sugar alcohol you only end up with 1 to 3 carbs per bar depending on the flavor you get. The box I buy is a variety pack with 3 different flavors - peanut butter, carmel nut or chocolate chip.
