I hope to have the same success as I venture into this new world of IP. I know that it has been said to read through the entire thread to see if an answer to my question has already been posted but unfortunately I am writing this from my phone and have a toddler pulling on my leg.
Morning: chocolate shake
Morning snack: cucumber slices
Lunch: soup with mushrooms
PM Snack: I had an IP bar

(My IP coach told me to use the bar as a meal substitute but I found myself crashing around 3)

I am wondering if I reduce the amount of chicken I eat at dinner time, will it be okay that I ate an IP bar for a snack? I am worried about going over the 987 calories.

Thank you so much everyone.
Don't cut back on the protein. It's very important you get it all in. There is no problem with eating the IP bar as a snack. My coach told me to have the restricted item at whatever time is the hardest part of the day. For me that is between 3 and 4 pm so I always had my bar them with coffee.

You are right on track for the day.

Good luck! It is worth it!

kikig - I went through the same thing on Saturday when cleaning the house. I'm in my 3rd week OP. Took my BP & it was a little low, so put some salt in my water and felt better soon after drinking it.

I have never looked forward to dinner this much and it was everything my mouth was watering for. I was looking forward to having my dessert but since I ate 3 packets already, I will be strong.
Can you split the lunch packet and eat the other half for a snack or split the dinner and eat it as a snack earlier???
Every coach is different, but mine has always told me I could have some of my protein at lunch time in addition to my IP packet if I wanted to. Many days I will have about 3oz of my protein with my lunch and the remaining 5oz at dinner. I'm sure you could have those 3oz. for example as a mid afternoon snack instead, and then save your last IP packet for a snack after dinner. I always save my last packet for a snack around bedtime (my coach has always encouraged me to do so) so you don't go so many hours without some protein before breakfast the next morning.

It's a lot to take in on just your first day, but know that once you get past the first challenging week the hunger will go away and it does get so much easier.

It went very well, thanks for asking! Funny, I knew something was wrong with my message, but I didn't figure it out until you asked. I spelled review wrong. Ha ha, oh well, I can make mistakes once in a while I guess.

Thanks again for explaining things to me. I do get pretty hungry around 3-4 as well. I am not sure if I am hungry or if I am getting lightheaded being on my feet all day- I am a hairstylist. I am going to try and do it your way tomorrow and see how it goes... I still would love to have my chocolate pudding but I will rearrange things tomorrow to see if something else works better for my day.
