I do have the fat at lunch..like an avocado. I do use olive oil for dinner and roast or stir fry vegetables. I tend to stay away from cheese except for parmesean..which I use on vegetables.
I wish I could give you more snack ideas..maybe humuus and celery? Laughing Cow? Protein bars? IP pudding? I stick to low carb low calorie foods..and don't worry about the fat as much.
Good luck on Phase 4..It seems tricky at first, but you get used to it.

Here are the Nashua Products from Pixl. You might find a snack in here.

HealthSmart Snack - Protein Puffs (1 Bag) Options: Flavor: White Cheddar - love these

Proti-Thin Fruit Drink - Orange (7/Box) - haven't tried
Proti-Thin Oatmeal - Maple & Brown Sugar (6/Box) 1 $11.95 $11.95 - great

Proti-Thin Protein Bar - Caramel Nut (7/Box) 1 $11.95 $11.95 - delicious. Like a snickers bar!

Proti-Thin Protein Pasta - Fusilli (7/Box) 1 $12.95 $12.95 - kinda strange texture. Didn't seem like it got tender like normal pasta. However, this was a nice change of pace and I enjoyed having pasta.

Proti-Thin Protein Wafer Squares - Dark Chocolate (5/Box, 2 Squares/Serving) 1 $12.95 $12.95 - yum!

Snackergy Potato Zippers - Cheesy 1 $12.95 $12.95 - ok, hubby likes these

Weight Loss Systems Snack - Cheddar Cheese Double Bites (1 Bag) - pretty good when you want something really crunchy
Thanks so much! It is confusing at first. I bought some hummus yesterday, but it has oil and complex carbs, so I'm thinking that has to be a splurge day item? I am going to try and make my own dips with various beans and have it with celery or cucumber. Am also going to an IP talk tonight with Bob Grantham, and hope to get my questions answered. I'll post what I find out. It might be helpful to have a Phase 4 thread with just food/meal ideas, especially for those who are in the early phases.

Hello All!
I am back from my cruise and back on P1. I was up 3# from the cruise and as of today I am down 2#, so 1 more to go to get back to goal weight. I think I am going to stay on P1 for a few more days and get back into that comfort area of 132.

So much going on here, so much to catch up on.

Jelly- When I was on P1, I execised 5-6x per week and I added (1) extra packet per day immediately following exercise. It worked really well for me and did not hinder my losses.

It seems like a bunch of us are getting stuff from Nashua, maybe we should start a new thread with reviews??? Maybe I will get one started. Anyway, here is what I purchased:

* Proti-thin Chocolate drink
* Proti-thin Cappuchino drink
* Proti-thin Strawberry drink
* Proti-thin Carmel Nut bar
* Proti-thin Chocolate Peanut Bar

My reviews:
- The chocolate drink is "drinkable". It is nowhere near as good as IP, but it will do. I will probably try another brand on my next order.
- The cappucchino drink is just as good as IP, if not better. I really enjoyed it. I have only had it hot, but think it would taste good cold too.
- Both bars are in the same exact packaging as IP so I can only imagine that they taste the same
- I haven't had the Strawberry drink yet, but will let you know after I do.

Good luck! I must be strange, because I like phase 1.

Does anyone eat the English breakfast (eggs and meat)? It is recommended in dr trans book, but it seems most revert back to yogurt and fruit and bread, non of which I like.

All year I have just stuck with protein shakes, but I am curious to see if bacon and eggs every day would be just as good. I would like to get away from the artificial sweeteners

My 8 months in maintenance were 2 eggs with blue cheese crumbles and meat every day (most days I ate turkey kielbsa) except my phase 1 days. The last 2 months of maintenance I ate that for breakfast too, but gained from all my events, alcohol, and going out.

I will have to try this... It's been about 6 weeks now and only lost about 2-3lbs in those 6-7 weeks... Which makes me start getting a little more discouraged, Since I am still in phase 1.... We only have practice 2-3 times a week. and when I did this back in october.. I didnt change anything, and still had some awesome losses...

Weight Loss is frustrating some times... LOL

I think alcohol is a definite problem with maintenance, but I like wine too much to give it up

jennydoodle I think that's a great idea to begin a thread about those products. I'm officially beyond P1 (tomorrow) and like many others will be buying non IP foods during maintenance and would love to know what people are trying and how they compare to IP etc.

Absolutely....I swore it off until April 11th...hoping that is what brings me back to that weight I was able to maintain for 8 months so well.

When I was in the losing phase back in 2010....I had an additional shake on days I exercised and always lost around 3-4 a week. Give it a try.

Thank you! I can't wait until I get to P3 and then of course P4. I was reading the threads "Life After Phase 1" and so many said they don't crave the food they "thought" they missed...for me that would be cheese (cheese pizza, mac & cheese, and my favorite, Brie, french bread, butter and red wine). I'm curious to see if I still enjoy them...Oh and I have a box filled with chocolates...it's my "Pandora Box"...based on what others have experienced I may end up giving the chocolates away...no hersey's I'm taking real chocolate!!!

Sewmam: Personally I think 1/3 or 1/2 cup of humuus could be considered
a complex carb..It is made out of chick peas..It just has oil. I make sauces and
dips to use with food. Tahini yogurt, cilantro yogurt, I also make a felafel with soybeans.

How is Phase 4 going?

Pixl..It is easy to get so upset when you are not happy with that scale..and easy to focus on the difficult of staying on track. This is hard hard work when you are dealing with the stresses of life and family and job.
Keep telling yourself how much better you feel when you eat healthfully. You can do it.

I so appreciate the fact that you also order from places to get low carb snacks. I did order the oatmeal. I feel self indulgent for ordering low carb foods and excellent coffee..but for now it is OK and makes my life so much better.

Yes..I eat egg beaters and turkey bacon every now and then for breakfast..or eat a vege omelette. You easily could do it!

Hang in there with the slow loss. It is very frustrating..but you are losing and going downward. Enjoy your derby.When is your first game?

You could also use cheese for the dairy instead of yogurt. Are there any fruits that you like?
