I tell myself to enjoy the journey each day with IP (and of course my school and learning and my lovely family), but I find myself wishing for March or April and being able to see the results of being farther along with this weight loss...I joke about my hubby losing weight faster, but today it's super duper frustrating me I'm like a just waiting to go off It just may be because that TOM is around the corner but I honestly physically want to throw a tantrum right now. Oh give me strength to get through this day.

I've been catching up on posts for the week. The site has been so busy, (which is awesome) it takes a while to get up to date with everyone.

Great WI and NSVs!

Thanks all for the great recipe ideas; especially ones for additional ways to prepare veggies.

I'm enjoying maintenance, but keeping myself pretty close to P2/P3 most days. So busy at work; even if I packed a lean protein to heat up, I don't seem to be able to get away, so a RTD shake has been my go to and fits nicely in my laptop case. I guess I'll stick with whatever is easy until the pace slows down a bit. One observation about P4 is that I was so excited that I could have snacks; in my mind that meant more snacks than my usual bedtime snack. Anyway, I'm finding that I'm full all day and don't really want or need one. In awe of how much this program has changed my lifestyle.
Hi JoLoMN,

I saw this in your signature.

Exercise Goal Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred: Level 1 for 10 days...

Can I ask what this is and how you like it? I know I will be smaller one day but I don't want to be jello-y anymore. I also know I can't exercise much now but I am looking for things to do in the future. I also think I might like Zumba. Just walking a little now.

Also, I loved reading about your maintenance. It's so helpful. Also interesting to know that you can go back to phases 2 or 3 if you so choose. Congratulations on being in maintenance.

Red face

good afternoon all! It is good to read all the posts. It makes me feel less alone in my journey. I was going to say struggle since that is how it feels but I am trying to say positive things to change my mind set. It is a blue day for me. week three and really crabby. I am going through menopause ( I think) and have irreg TOM started a couple of days ago and really hoped the scale would show a loss now but no such luck. OK going to drag myself out of this funk and mix a drink ( ip one) and have a salad

Hormones.

This diet really messes with them. I am not savvy in this area so hopefully someone else can explain it but I do remember early on that my coach said something about hormones and being prepared to deal with it. It causes some challenges in couples going through the program together. It's sorta like little bits and pieces of random PMS here and there. At least that is how I see it. Wish I could explain it better.

They’re the same size as I normally wear, but fit smaller and they were just that much too tight that I couldn’t wear them. But! When I put them on they were comfortable and fit perfectly. I’m still counting IP time in days (13 today) and this is a nice little boost! Especially since I’m one of the impatient ones among us…
Congrats on your NSV!!! I too am counting IP time in days (today is day 12 for me) and tend to be impatient. Its so encouraging to have these things happen, it really keeps a person motivated for more success.

Hi All
Just got back from my Paris business trip. Have to say for the most part managed to stay on plan. Made IP choices for dinner and lunch however didnt have much control over how they were prepared. Have my first weigh in on Monday since my return. Hoping its all good. My clothes fit well actually a bit better.

Congrats on your loss! I am in the beginning of my third week. I lost 4 lbs the first week and only 1.6 the second. I was a bit discouraged too but it is worth haning in there. My coach said at the end of a month we would take the average and that many people average about 3 lbs per week. I am hoping for that and waiting to see. Hang in there.

My coach said to be careful with sweet flavorings because they can trick your body into thinking it is getting sugar and mess up your ketosis? I have not lost a single pound since Wednesday and the only thing I can think of is that maybe I'm using too much Mio? Thoughts...
I am also in my third week and my coach told me the same thing. She actually told me not to use Mio at all when I first asked. Then at WI#2 I asked her why and she said the sugar alcohols can trigger insulin in many people and cause a slowing in weight loss. It actually makes sense as I have had this happen to me before on Atkins with other products.
Believe me I know how hard it is to get the water in. My coach said if I had to use it to use it with my water while eating a meal only. Something about the insulin spike being less when having other foods vs just water??

Ticking time bomb is the worst feeling....My cousin is doing the program as well and HE cheats all the time and STILL loses...THAT is like a slap in the face for me. But I know when I am done, I will keep my weight off and HE will gain it all back. Hang in there, his will start slowing down soon.

Woke up this morning feeling "skinny". Put on one of my "usual" pants and they are lterally just barely staying on above my hips.

Had coffee and dark chocolate pudding muffins. For lunch it was some bell peppers and "creamy" cauliflower, followed by wild berry yogurt smoothie with a touch of WG chocolate syrup.

PS, Wuv, loved your story! How great that must feel!
