I only did kind of bad at the WI right before TOM. The one afterwards was actually really good

Good luck!

Tammy
Listerine breath strips and Dentyne Fire are what my coach suggested to me.

Has anyone that uses alternatives [Nashua] used the chocolate shake & the cappucino mix to make the "cupcakes"? Just wondering!

Apparently I tied the clinic record for women. I know I won't have loss like that every WI (as a matter of fact, I think most of it is due to the sweats I had while going into ketosis), but seeing the results makes it easier to stay on plan. Also made it thru Nana's 90th B'day party without giving in to any temptation, including the birthday triffle. That is an even more important victory for me, as it tells me my head is in the right place to be doing this right now.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day and is able to count their blessings longer than their troubles.
Way to go! Congratulations!

Thanks for the kind remarks everyone, and I'm glad I could give some of you a chuckle with the underwear comment. Realized that I must be in the right state of mind to be doing IP now - in the 8 days since I started, Day 1 included a dinner/movie date (I made the dinner, so at least I could control that), Day 7 a birthday party, and Day 8 lunch out with my sister's family. (Cracker Barrel actually has a low carb menu now, although they don't go into how much fat might be in a dish... ). I also realized that when not allowing myself to indulge in emotional eating, I might tend to emotional shopping - need to figure out how to reprogram myself to be an emotional exerciser, or something else that doesn't involve calories or $$$.
This is a great forum, so glad to have found such a supportive community to take this journey with

Shemsham,
I didn't read ahead to find out if you got a satisfactory answer about the breath thing from one of our experts. I was told by my coach to try brushing my teeth more often OR Listerine Breath Strips. They are sugar free and I believe are 0/0/0. They are paper thin strips that sort of dissolve on your tongue. I have bought them in the toothbrush section with all the floss, etc. They do the trick. Strangely enough, the breath seems to go away (Or I am used to it). I am nearing the end of week 4 and hardly notice it...and I know I am still in Ketosis because I have never cheated once (I like to repeat that a lot because it's a first for me in my dieting life history.lol). Good luck!

Default I was supposed to start 1/19/12

Well, I was supposed to go for my consultation on 1/18 but we had a huge snow storm and the Dr. office closed down So... I rescheduled for this Tuesday so i will officially start IP Wed It sucks cuz I had myself all psyched up to start and just get to it and to think how much I could have lost in 1 week already sucks but I just gotta know in my heart that it happened for a reason.. So I got a whole bunch of WF stuff this week at a local grocery store and will go buy my meat and veggies after consultation!! I am totally excited, thanks for inspiring me everyone!!!!

Well I may be one of the unlucky ones and be ultra sensitive to ANY deviations of the strict protocol. I'm not talking about cheating--- rather, using the egg whites and baking powder in the new recipes I've been trying.. That and/or the mio this sucks. I was so elated for all of these new things that i was eating and drinking. The scale hasn't moved much at all this week.. I'm going to enjoy the recipes until my official weigh in, but if it's under a pound lost, I will be cutting out all the "extras." let's hope it moves because I sure will miss my unrestricted pancakes and brownie.

My husband even told me to really limit or completely stay away from the WF and other "allowed" condiments...he reminded me that condiments is what got me in this trouble in the first place (well, plus cheese, oh tons of cheese)...so true! Eat fresh, and and as natural as possible...
