Good luck at your weigh in today! Why would you do a half and half week? I am looking forward to starting 3 too but still nervous. Going to write my list out today because I will be shopping Sat. and then starting next Thursday. I am going to miss my shake in my coffee. I think I will go back to that in phase 4 to be honest. Easy and yummy. |

I am pretty certain that I will still be in the 150s when I go to San Fran in 28 days. I am okay with this only for the reason that I know I will restart when I get back in January. I think I will set my new goal for 135 which is just under 20 where I am now. I don't know if I will gain while I am there or in the last few phases but I will do my best to maintain and worry about the rest at the beginning on the year. There are no important holidays, bdays, trips, or anything in the first 3 months of the year so I hope I can lose the rest then. I really don't want to be on the program for 6 months again.
I am writing my phase 3 shopping list today because I will be shopping Sat and starting next Thurs. So excited but I will miss my coffee/shake in the morning that is for sure. I think after my 14 days in 3 I will go back to it because it's so yummy and filling. (And I'm lazy like that.) |
okay ladies, don't think so hard phase 3 is really good, it is what you are working towards get your pancreas started... none of this half and half crap you want to do phase 3 right so you DONT gain the weight back... I actually lost in phase 3... big bonus for me as this week I gained 8 lbs... am I stressed not yet but will see my numbers under 150 again soon... tom and maintenance the same week just isn't cool...
Lynsey and Sandy give your bodies the break it needs and phase 3 properly then you can go back after the holidays. Have a great day am in meetings most of the day so this is my 2 cents worth for the day. |
I am starting Phase 3 on Thursday too Sandy. I am weighing in today after the holiday...eek. I know I had too many green beans and tomatoes over break. maybe too many packets from holiday recipes. But i figure it's better than going off plan.
I am nervous to prepare all that food for breakfast too. Bought stuff at store Sunday and felt like I was breaking the law putting bread, yogurt, fruit and butter in my cart! Wish this head cold would go away. I love the chocolate shake warmed up with Torani Peanut butter syrup, and since I'm so congested, I can hardly taste my food and packets.:?: I am hoping the Clinic owner is there today so I can give her a big hug, I haven't seen her since hearing the sad news of the death of her son. :( |
Woohoo, I lost 2 pounds! I start phase 3 tomorrow!

Greek yogurt is something I tried quite a while ago and hated! I'm hoping just the diet in general has changed my taste buds so I will like it better now. What can I do to make it taste better if I don't like it? What is the best tasting brand? What flavors do you like best? Thanks! |
One more week of phase 2 for me, then I will join you guys in phase 3. I can't wait. I will feel no guilt whatsoever eating peanut butter everyday for breakfast! I went for my WI today, down 2 more pounds, which I am very thankful for. That's for 2 weeks since I didn't WI last week due to Thanksgiving break. I've had a messed up last few days, so thought the scale wouldn't show that. I haven't cheated, just had more salt than I should have and a small issue with constipation. I never had that issue in phase 1, so I am assuming subbing meat for a packet or shake decreases the amt of fiber we get in out diet even more.
I will stress again that I can't wait to eat peanut butter in phase 3. I'm already drooling! |
Good afternoon!
I have been MIA lately, but with the holiday and company, I have not had any time to catch up on the threads! I wanted to let you know that I, too, was in the 150's for 8 weeks! Then I blew through the 140's in 3 weeks. Strange how the 150's seems to be a slow moving "decade" Well, I am officially on maintenance!!!! I had my last weigh in this morning and have been holding steady between 133 and 134 through P3. I had a "fun day" on Thanksgiving and then did a P1 day on Friday and a P2 day on Saturday and have been holding steady since then. I am so glad to be moving on to the next phase. I am hoping to hold steady here through the holiday's and the beginning of January and then if I feel like I need to, I will jump back on P1 for a month or so. If not, then I will just keep enjoying maintenance. I am actually not going to start P4 for a couple of days because I have to go to the store and shop. So, if you will humor me, here are my final stats: Starting weight: 169.8 Current (new) weight: 133.8 Total pounds lost: 36 Starting size: a tight 12 Current size: a comfortable 4 Starting measurements: Waist: 33" Stomach: 39.25" Hips: 43" Thigh: 26" Arm: 14" Chest: 34" Current measurements: Waist: 26.5" Stomach: 32" Hips: 36.5" Thigh: 21" Arm: 10.5" Chest: 30.25" Total time on plan (including phasing off): 6 months I would also just like to say "thank you" to all of you for the support you have given me. I don't know what I would have done without this site. I am probably going to jump into the maintainers thread now that I am officially maintaining. I also don't feel as dependent on this site as I used to, so I don't make it on here so much anymore, but I will still be around :) |

I have another grocery question. So here they are all in one place....
1. Best brand of greek yogurt. Favorite flavors? 2. Can we have granola in P3? 3. Can we use brown sugar splenda or anything in our oatmeal? 4. What kind of whole grain sugar free cereal are you eating? Thanks! |

2). I have been putting 1/2 cup granola in my Greek yogurt (along with the stevia). YUMMY! I assume it is allowed on P3 because it is considered a carb. Just watch your portion so that you do not go over the allotted grams. Sorry, I do not have an answer to #3 or 4. |
Quote:
answers 1 Dannon greek yogurt (organic as it is less cal) fat free plain 2. yes granola (try and find sugar free) 3. good question, i would consider it part of the carbs then 4. I eat Alpen sugar free Museli I add the cereal to my yogurt and fruit every morning, and sometimes just throw in a teaspoon of peanut butter. |
We are all in the same boat right now, I just love all you guys! You all are and have been so supportive. I am in Phase 4, but most days I eat Phase 3 and skip the night carb, just not that hungry. I stayed the same last week and Thanksgiving was my first "cheat" and phase I the day after, my weight stayed the same. It looks like I may be down a little this week, we shall see on friday.
I plan to jump back on after the first too, nothing going on in cold upstate NY. My favorite greek yogurt is Fage, but the Wegmans brand is a close second at half the price. I take 3/4 C and ten dark frozen cherries and 1/2 tsp splenda, so good. I have a whole grain English Muffing with 1T of peanut butter or almond butter. I have PB2, but have been using full fat peanut butter to be sure my skin stays subtle during the cold months. Rock on Ladies! |
I think I bought the wrong kind of Greek yogurt! It has sugar in it even though it is nonfat. I only bought two and will have to eat it. It was 140 cal. with 14 grams of protein, 20 carbs, oh, and it says fruit on the bottom. I will add some of my blueberries, have a piece of my sunflower whole wheat bread with peanut butter. that should do the trick for tomorrow.
|
I can't wait to have peanut butter and a banana tomorrow!! I bought the alpen cereal too, there are raisins in it, hope that's ok...
I hit 135.8 today. overly thrilled and body fat 23%. I just want to tighten this belly up and survive the holidays. I hope I am one of the ones that loses on PH3. Sandy, enjoy your breakfast, I will think of you when I take my first bite! Hope I can savor and taste this food with all my congestion ;) |

Welcome (and almost) Welcome to Ph 3!!! I started in on Sunday and I am loving it! I was so nervous and felt this weird guilt about shopping for all that food - especially stuff we haven't been allowed all along.
Well, now I love it, I am more full/satisfied then ever before and I think I've lost 2-3 lbs this week. For the yogurt - buy the plain yogurt, that way it shouldn't have sugar in it. |
Mind if I join in? I think I qualify as "experienced" -- I've been on this plan since August.
Still on phase 1, but I think phase 2 might be coming sooner rather than later. My busy time at work has come sooner than planned and I spend a lot of time walking and running around. I feel like I need the extra protein. I was thinking I would add extra protein on the busy days and do phase 1 on the more sedentary days. Or should I just do an extra packet? Any words of wisdom? |
Phase 3 breakfast is done and I am full! I ate my nonfat greek yogurt but left their fruit at the bottom of the container, I used my own blueberries with splenda, had my toast with peanut butter (it was crunchy, another mistake?) and ate that right off the bat.
Legan , I hoped you enjoyed your first Phase 3 breakfast! Everyone is welcome here Rainbowmom! |

Muscle shifting, or my osteoarthritis acting up? Don’t know. Can't find a calculator to add up my totals! LOL |
Sorry for how run together the numbers are. I copied from a word doc and they were FAR apart on it!

So ladies, guess who has a loss that did not begin with 0 this week! Yep, me! Down 1.6 and couldn't be more excited! I made it through my daughters' family bday party, Thanksgiving, and we've eaten out a few times. Maybe my body will like phase 3 also! I will be doing 1 more week at phase 2 and then I will move on. I am at 152.2 so it would be a dream to make it into the 140s at least before I go to San Fran.

'Hola to all my skinny friends!
Running crazy lately but so enjoying Phase 3. All is well. Happy to see new Phase 3ers today! I haven't gotten on the scale but my pants felt a little snug this morning. :( Water, water and then some more water. Physical therapy is going well but I'm dealing with a great deal of inflammation. And unfortunately, I may end up having my knee scoped afterall. The underlying problem has to be corrected. This is stressing me out very badly. I am painfully reminded everytime I stand up and straighten my leg. :(:(:( Date tomorrow with a new man I recently was introduced to.....life goes on! :) Stay strong everyone and remember to back away from all the upcoming holiday treats. They may taste good for only a moment but just remember how horrible all that sugar makes you body feel. We worked too hard to give in. Hope to check back in over the weekend! |

Hi - so many of us are now on Ph 3 (or in Ph 4), I'd love to hear what you have for a Ph 3 breakfast.
So far, I have the same thing each day because i know it's ok and I'm afraid to try anything else. I have 2/3 c 2% plain greek yogurt, 1 slice of ezekiah toast with 1T almond butter, 1 c berries. Is anyone doing anything different? |

Woohoo on the 2-3 pound loss, I hope I lose on phase 3. I bought the Greek goddess plain nonfat yogurt, it still has sugar in it though. Quote:

(1) container 0% Fage Greek Yogurt, plain 3/4 c. Granola, mixed into the yogurt (2) eggs + (1) egg white, scrambled (1) small apple (1) tsp PB I have been eating this every day because I am totally addicted to it! I am a habitual eater and will the same thing over and over for months. I am on maintenance now, but this is what I ate through all of P3. I think you might be a little short on protein in your bfast. |
Jenny - Thanks for letting me know. I feel like I am eating so much food already! I see what you are having and definitely think I need more protein. Ok, I'll see what I can add for protein.
Thanks for the feedback! |
Just had my day 2 breakfast on phase 3. Wonderful!

I was down to 150.8 this morning! I know I will go up and down all week but that was awesome. TOM should be here about weigh in day too so that may cause some trouble. I'm just happy to finally see the scale moving again! My head cold is getting worse. I'm miserable. I took some Nyquil last night so I could get some sleep and only woke twice to blow my nose so that was nice. This morning I can't breathe at all! My nose is so red and now it's really starting to get sore too. My girls had their Christmas program last night or I would've just crawled in bed after work and called it a day. I wish I had more vacation time at work so I could've taken more Nyquil this morning and slept all day. Tomorrow they have another dance competition so I hope I feel at least a little bit better. Have a great weekend everyone. |

this morning I will have yogurt and blueberries, a couple bites of cheese, cereal, so happy there is so much protein in greek yogurt. i liked the fage. I will have the chobani (spelling?) this morn to compare plain flavors. |
I had Greek goddess plain yogurt with fresh raspberries, sunflower/flax toast with peanutbutter! The yogurt wasn't sweet enough so I added splenda.
Lynsey, run the humidifier! |
